Agree, no cause for panic. I was encouraged by their pace of play. However, if they suddenly go Wild-cold and can't convert wide open chances, then yeah we're screwed.

no, all of the balls in his at bat were pretty solidly outside the strike zone. he's really going to have to do better on pitches like the ones he popped to right, if he wants to avoid the shuttle to iowa. Yeah he effed up pretty bad on those two ABs. GWRBI in the box score though.

why? the pitcher doesn't want to fall behind 3-0 so you figure to get a pitch in the strike zone that you can drive in that situation. Was that the pitch to drive? 2-0 with the bases loaded I'd just like a patient approach.
