  1. Lovie, you fuckin [expletive]. What a stupid [expletive] ridiculous worst [expletive] coach in the history of the NFL.
  2. Good play calling. Short passes. Build confidence. Don't get carried away.
  3. Good job D. It's funny how little success Hester had to have before the last few years were forgotten. I know PR is a streaky position, I'm just surprised teams are instantly giving him that much reverence again.
  4. No doubt. I just don't see how the offense can just forget how to be competent at all in a matter of a few weeks. Coaching, methinks.
  5. At least I would feel better about the future if they fired Angelo. Immediately. And [expletive] Maynard [expletive] sucks.
  6. Wow. No rush. And Peanut sucks as usual.
  7. Yep, the last two. He did a pretty good job in those two games too. Yeah, he really did. Did his name get on the puck? I know Hendry's didn't due to the strict rules they have. Which seems silly.
  8. Will be interesting to see that suspension. Is 20 games too much? yes That fan didn't touch him. Didn't make any gesture toward him. I grant you, he didn't punch the fan. Looked like he just grabbed him and shook him for a minute. But still, it's another animal when you attack a fan.

  10. I issued my mea culpas about Campbell, as DM suggested, after the Ovechkin hit. His impact was obvious moving the puck. And to be fair, that's a good bit of my criticism of the team's current play. The breakout is very sluggish, the forwards aren't moving with conviction through the neutral zone and they aren't crashing on the forecheck (except for Toews and Bickell). Campbell won't solve that last part, but he'll make those 3rd and 4th lines look better, no doubt. And, of course, he'll get either Boynton or Cullimore off the ice, which is always a good thing. I still think the contract was a reach. That was Tallon's big splash. He didn't let the market settle out, and after Boyle got his deal it was clear how much over market Campbell got. Now, maybe he wouldn't have gotten him if he waited a few days and didn't make that huge offer. We'll never know. But I can say that he should not be making more than Keith and Seabrook.
  11. I'm not seeing the same level of play as last year. Yes, they are getting by and winning games against good teams. But the 3rd and 4th lines aren't doing it, and sooner or later they are going to be needed. As the season goes on, they'll need someone to provide the kind of energy and occasional scoring that Ben Eager provided last year. I see Bickell doing a little of that, but he's up with the skill guys and that's not really his role on this team. At least not right now.
  12. Didn't see that. I'm rooting for those guys to do well more than I am Niemi though. Perhaps I'm blaming him for relying on bad advice, but whatever. Speaking of the recently departed, I would argue the guy we miss most right now is Ben Eager. He fills exactly the role Q is trying to shoehorn Jon Scott into right now. And it's not working.
  13. Too bad that's what it has come to, though I do agree with you.
  14. Even blind squirrel's... I had the same reaction as I did last year against Nashville when Sopel pulled the same move. For fun St. Louis fan reaction, go here: http://www.stlouisgametime.com/2010/10/18/1759578/blues-at-blackhawks-gdt-seems-like-theres-a-regular-slogan-we-use-for#49718711 Based on that you'd think every Blues fan is a 12-year old who just learned his first curse word.
  15. Damn that was a lot of fun. Hossa is incredible. The strength that guy has to hold onto the puck with one hand and fight off a defender with the other is amazing. It's nights like this that remind me we still have a damn good team. I totally agree with whoever said they were being outworked. They were for nearly the entire game. Kane in particular looked listless and slow, though I know they said he is still getting over the flu. And Cullimore played well at times, but it seemed like every time the Blues got sustained pressure, it was him and Hendry trying to hold down the crease.
  16. At the risk of saying this and then having them kick the crap out of us, I just think they're off to a hot start. Yes, guys like Oshie and Berglund and Johnson are a year older, but they have zero depth. They show they can play well for a couple games at a time, then play awful the next few. That's how they were last year and I expect that's what they will be again. They just happened to start out hot. So I'm concerned about them this week, but it's more because they are a rival who plays us tough. Nice effort by Bickell there. Backes is a tough dude.
  17. Work trip cancelled, get to stay home and watch the game tonight. Nice. If it was a money thing, that's fine, but every minute Jon Scott gets instead of Leddy, the team is weaker. Both now and in the future. Cullimore is terrible too. Please heal up quick Campbell.
  18. I'm puzzled by this. It's not like Leddy isn't getting a lot of playing time. Is it really better to have him playing the same amount of minutes over in Rockford? Perhaps there are other considerations -- salary, whatever. Or a trade? I don't want to be too reactionary, but at this point Brouwer could go for a depth defenseman.
  19. I dont' care how they played against Carolina, they had a bad day today. You can ignore that fact and pretend it didn't happen, but it did. Urlacher didn't make any plays. Neither did Peppers or any of the DBs. They all sucked at the same time. Not going to win many games when that happens.
  20. Haha, f u packers.
  21. If this team had it's [expletive] together, from the coaches on down, we'd have a chance to stop this clock.
  22. Quoted for truth. That punter got flattened And no, Billick, it wasn't his pride being hurt that kept him laying on the field for five minutes. Dude has no idea where he is right now.
  23. HOLY [expletive] EARL BENNETT! Sad thing is we still need to onside kick.
