So, Iginla is a healthy scratch tonight and a deal is imminent. Wisdom is it will be Boston.

Only saw the first period. Pretty boring and it was pretty clear Calgary is phoning it in. So I went drinking. Feel bad for Calgary fans. They need a full rebuild.

I'd be fine with the price you suggested if Iginla were to resign at a reasonable cap number for a few years.

That's great. Hearing the asking price for Iginla is crazy. They appear to want a goalie prospect or younger goalie in return, which pretty much eliminates us. Makes sense because they are either going to trade Kipper as well. NHL Radio is saying Hawks haven't made an offer, but Saad is the name the media is throwing out there. No thanks.

Just heard an analyst from the Caps mention that Filppula is going to want 5/$30M. My god if that's true they should trade him now.

Hoss and Sharp were on the ice for an informal skate this morning per the Twitter. I'm sure Sharp isn't as close as Hoss to returning, but still a good sign.

The Blues do the three-man team with Kelly and Panger in the booth and Federko between the benches or roaming around. I suppose it adds a little, but I certainly don't miss it on the Hawks broadcasts. It is interesting though, if true, that the Wings are the only team in the league with falling TV ratings. Not a huge surprise given the slight falloff in the team's play, I guess. Expectations are high and the regular season is a necessary prelude to the real season.

His putting was just insane. I don't recall what hole it was today, but Fowler hit probably a 45-footer to put some heat on Tiger (before going all Tin Cup on 16), and Tiger answered immediately with his own long birdie putt. Just amazing.
