Yeah, I don't love the result, but the suspension is perfectly understandable. I'm not saying he didn't intend to hit him with his stick. It's pretty clear he didn't mean to hit him in the face, but I agree that shouldn't matter. I'm more interested in the "street justice" aspect of it. Carter tried to hurt him, he got what he deserved. Same with Sedin a few years ago. I understand why Shanahan can't take that view of things, of course.
