Yeah, I don't love the result, but the suspension is perfectly understandable. I'm not saying he didn't intend to hit him with his stick. It's pretty clear he didn't mean to hit him in the face, but I agree that shouldn't matter. I'm more interested in the "street justice" aspect of it. Carter tried to hurt him, he got what he deserved. Same with Sedin a few years ago. I understand why Shanahan can't take that view of things, of course.

They keep calling Keith a repeat offender. I don't know why everyone is so quick to discount what brings these things on. Sedin hit Keith in the head first last year, Keith responded in kind. Same with last night. He was responding to an attempt to injure. He isn't a predator out there looking to hurt people indiscriminately.

Yeah, wanted one of these two. Don't care which. Just annoying because if they effort level had been there it would have been another solid if not dominating win. Apparently the league is reviewing Keith's slash on Carter. I would be absolutely shocked if he gets suspended for multiple reasons. Not the least of which that regardless of Keith's intent, Carter had it coming. He tried to break Keith's hand.
