Could be that they'll still start Stalberg? Maybe Q is trying to shake up Stalberg? I don't know last time he did this a few weeks ago he did actually bench him for at least one game.
It's probably hard to see on TV all that Stalberg isn't doing at this point. He doesn't seem to be making glaring mistakes. He's just not making anything happen. And that's what he's there for. Which is why putting Bollig in is curious. He's much more likely to make mistakes and he brings some physical presence but not as much as he should given his size and willingness to use it. I haven't found him to be a very effective hitter. He's usually the one that falls down.
There's some serious bias going on with all that, on both sides, because of the short season and lack of inter-conference play. I'll bet most of those people making predictions watched fewer than five Hawks games all year and none before the playoffs.
