  1. That little segment was maybe the most I've ever agreed with sports radio.
  2. Those pics are really quite old. This is more recent. http://tomfornelliblog.files.wordpress.com/2014/03/screen-shot-2014-03-31-at-4-31-13-pm.png Boers on the left, Bernstein on the right. Christ, "really quite old" was an apt choice of words. He's clutching that railing like Death is tapping him on the shoulder. Bernstein looks like something that escaped from a formaldehyde jar.
  3. What...what is on the left here? http://www.chicagonow.com/chicago-sports-media-watch/files/2013/02/boers-and-bernstein.jpg http://a3.ec-images.myspacecdn.com/images01/7/2a9f2cb470168e0d294671dd1a69bc02/l.jpg Which one is that? Does he shave with butter?
  4. What his world come to? Radio guys are supposed to be gigantic beasts or wiry cokeheads.
  5. Come on; because he gives what's probably in his head his best version of a diplomatic answer makes him nuts? Maybe he really got along with the guy. Exactly. NFL players say the wrong thing all the time along those lines. Lumping that in with the genuinely damaged [expletive] this guy has dealt with and clearly still is dealing with as an indicator that he's "crazy" is pretty low.
  6. He's a punchable radio guy, but he's not fat. Which really is the important part of this conversation, I know. http://s1.dmcdn.net/iwwa.jpg That's a good point; I'm assuming Waddle isn't fat, too. Though I refuse to believe that Boers and Bernstein are gigantic blubbery monsters. Please don't post pictures to the contrary.
  7. Except Cutler. And Trestman and Emery and Kromer and I assume the other coordinators. Clearly nobody is talking about the firings today as if those are applicable whether or not people were held accountable during the season. He should have faced something for that press conference and that he didn't is an indictment to me of how poorly run this organization was during the season, not because they were scared of him. And you're right, I forgot about Cutler, though I'd like to think I pushed it out of my head because it was such an inexplicably stupid move.

  9. I would expect it to be a perfect storm of those things plus the possibility Marshall may not react well to the new guy coming in and trying to restrict his media appearances. Christ, he's not the [expletive] Hulk; he's not going to flip out if they tell him to not go on the radio. I wouldn't be surprised if they scrap both him and Cutler's radio spots if both are on the team next year. Just spin it like it's a fresh start and all that crap and he'd be fine. Hell, we're having this discussion today because a guy ON THE RADIO ticked him off. Probably not going to be too hard to explain to him why it would be a better move to stay off of it. Depends on contract language really. If they don't have decent clout to try and restrict his appearances, he may say thanks no thanks. Not react well doesn't mean he starts flipping tables. All this media stuff is him setting up his next career, so there's next to no way you can cut him off from making appearances. Oh well. We'll just have to keep clutching at our purses when he says mean things to fat radio loads. If you're going to cut ties because he's not any good, but cutting an NFL player for saying weird things just bugs me, just like egtting rid of Cutler simply to get rid of him would bug me. I don't want these idiots to tank 2015 like you think they will.
  10. The Bears allowing that and not punishing him over defying them is an example of them seeming to be scared of him and his volatility. Horse [expletive]. THAT'S the excuse you're going with over something like that this past season? Where basically nobody had any accountability for anything except for Bennett bodyslamming Fuller in the preaseason? That's pretty hilarious. Excuse for what? What on earth are you babbling about? Excuse for them not punishing him. That's a hilariously stupid conclusion. They didn't punish anyone for anything this year.
  11. If you want to close your eyes and cover your ears and pretend everything else Marshall was involved with this past year wasn't a total disaster then yes, yelling at a radio guy is a dumb reason to cut him. But that's a dumb way to summarize the marshall situation. Oh, please. It was nowhere near a "total disaster," both given his own issues in the past and the larger embarrassment of the Bears organization. You just tell him he doesn't get to go on the radio next year. He had an unnecessary press conference full of crazy about his past domestic abuse. Said crazy things on "Inside the NFL". Has challenged a fan to a fight. Bad mouthed Cutler in public around the same time Kromer did. Appears to be heartbroken over an obviously terrible coach that he could not have possibly had this great connection with. It may not be a "total disaster", but it's getting closer and closer to that every time he opens his mouth. In the scope of the NFL and his own past that's all a blip on the radar (plus I love how you're trying to spin him being sad to see his coach go as making him to be crazy). The guy has major issues, but THIS is the stuff we're worried about? Yeesh.

  14. Yeah, I thought it was hilarious. Carmen said the Bears seemed to be "scared of him," and Marshall asked him to provide an example to back up his claim. Carmen couldn't. Sounds like Carmen was just scared of him too. How about the press conference they didn't want him to do (and told him to keep short when he insisted on doing it), where he then rambled on for like 45 minutes trying to blame his victims and present phony evidence defending his past? Who cares? It's an example of the Bears' handling of him with kid gloves So what? It was a given he was going to be handled with kid gloves when he showed up. Given how badly screwed up he was in years past, what he did this past year is nowhere near being something you need to cut ties with him over. There are legitimate reasons to potentially look to move him this offseason, but being scared of crazy isn't a very good one.

  16. The most embarrassing thing he did this year was that bizarre press conference and literally nobody remembers it except for self-hating Bears fans. If you can move him because you can actually help your team by doing so or you think his talent is going downhill quick, great, but if you're moving him just because of his "embarrassing" behavior this year then that's just plain ol' meatballin'.

  18. Carmen Defalco is really punchable. But Brandon needs to not be on tv or radio next year. Yeah, I agree it's smart to not put him out there, but if they get rid of him because of today (or really anything he did this year) then they're stupid.
  19. Zero problem with a player talking [expletive] to a radio sack of meat.
  20. YOU'RE RIGHT. I found it: http://www.northsidebaseball.com/~nsbb/forum/viewtopic.php?p=3005350#p3005350 And it's SS again.

  22. ... It's not debatable that Kyle Orton has retired and left us with the evidence of his ridonkulous life and career, you weirdo. i have no idea what point you're trying to make with what you put in bold and your response but i do know that i hate this [expletive] guy The bold makes it sound like you think I'm trying to argue a point or something; this thread was just to enjoy the hilarity that is Kyle Orton. I have no idea what "case" you think I'm trying to make besides that. Seriously, this is why people say you're a robot. no the bold was referencing the fact that you thought i was making a football argument if i was making a football argument, it'd be hard to say rex > orton at this point but i'm not i'm making an i hate kyle orton argument and a rexy is the true bad ass argument Rex is too dumb and goofy to be badass. His thrills stemmed from it being like watching a mutant inbred Vulcan hurling footballs with the arm of Zeus.
