  1. 3 whole quarters to make up a 17 point deficit. WHAT AN IMPOSSIBLE TASK.
  2. *Checks scores* It's 1:47 to go in the 1st quarter.
  3. http://replygif.net/i/1032.gif
  4. That's not true based on what we heard today. Phillips role is unchanged. http://thequizmasters.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/tumblr_ljtj6fiAjk1qejjw5o1_500.gif
  5. I suddenly regret my decision to move a whole lot less.
  6. Like how Trestman had the most detailed plan out of all the coaching candidates? Week by week schedule for the next year or whatever. That doesn't sound big picture at all.
  7. Yes. No. The OL could use some improving, but improving the defense and special teams are much more of a priority.
  8. Because they were drunk.
  9. Kevin Brown was the weird one for me. He's Curt Schilling minus the bloody sock. Brown had a 5 year stretch (96-00) where he won 82 games with a 164 ERA+, 2.51 ERA, and 1.051 WHIP. Pretty sure that is better than any stretch Schilling had. Steroids rule. FTFY
  10. I don't know if it's so much "do it the way the Cubs did it" as much as it is "do it without Cutler and Marshall because I don't like them". It's kind of hilarious that he wants to do away with two positions that the Bears actually have talent at. No, it's definitely the Cubs thing. Bernstein is a walking doom boner; he should not be listened to. I don't know about that. He's been a huge, huge supporter of the Cubs rebuild process. But when he turns on something, there's no swaying him back. He loves it because he's a miserable sad sack and is convinced that the way they've gone has been the "right/only" way. He dresses it up with some mildly advanced stat and prospect talk, but it's still the typical "we must suffer to be truly good" garbage too many Chicago fans lap up.
  11. Guys, that board led me to this: http://brees-stats.com/index.php Why does that site exist?

  13. Have some goddam taste; this oaf looks like he's constantly pumped about the [expletive] Catalina Wine Mixer. Hoyer, meanwhile, hosts yet another press conference about living with extreme handsomeness: http://www.trbimg.com/img-5045e01c/turbine/chi-cubs-gm-jed-hoyer-pays-211m-for-lincoln-pa-001/600

  16. Yeah, but you're talking about something teams simply don't do. People throw out tagging Cutler like it's this common practice with QB's, and it just isn't.
  17. With hindsight going back to December 13'/January '14? Tag him & then trade him, like KC tried to do with B. Albert (and actually find and accept an offer). There were three options, try and win it all with Cutler, try and quickly rebuild by developing a QB, or win with a patchwork QB. Tagging him was not an option. People need to stop pretending it was. There was never a realistic scenario with a positive outcome in which the Bears tagged and traded Cutler. How wasn't it an option? Cutler even said that he wouldn't take it personally if they franchise and he wouldn't be upset about it. It's just one of those things that doesn't happen with QB's.
  18. How often does tagging a QB actually work out, either in terms of ultimately signing them to a more team-friendly deal or trading them for something of value?
  19. Quit trying to drag Soler down with that pud.
  20. sulley, you're really not helping things stomping all over Brandon's very well-reasoned post with an angry storm of rage-farts.
  21. The Cubs will lead the league in moisture vaporators. Hmmmm, interesting. Can David translate Bocce?
  22. Who, Marshall? Nah, I meant it went I said "superstar." In a much better world Rose would be the godking of this city.
  23. Yes, I find him very unappealing. He has all the personality and common sense of a sun-baked turd. Fortunately it doesn't make me act like a Bulls' loss or a bad game or stretch means the end of the world.
  24. So many of the Bulls fans here are astonishingly terrible.
  25. http://media.giphy.com/media/xZv1drArGozD2/giphy.gif Yes. Also reason #45691 that the digitally animated Simpsons is the worst. I miss those crazy, weird little off-model things they did.
