  1. Wow, hats off to Quintana for a fantastic CG. What a great thing to pull off right before the postseason.
  2. Well, horsefeathers; Quintana just not horsefeathering around.
  3. Weasels ripped their flesh! RIZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!!!
  4. Oh yeah; that's easy to mix up.
  5. I do think there's something to this, everyone pick a player to incredulously hate on the rest of the year. I call Rizzo, that 'can't hit 40 HR in a season to save his life' fraud of a franchise player Hey, it's worked for Jay lately.
  6. Well, I guess I have to talk horsefeathers about Zobrist the rest of the year. Touche, you wily old bastard.
  7. Nice work by Quintana today. Good to see he's likely gonna be able to go 7.
  8. Yeah, his .230 .329 .295 .624 line in September is just peachy keen. Play La Stella or Happ at 2B if Baez on the bench; Zobrist serves no purpose except to age slightly closer to inevitable death. Yes, monthly splits are going to look bad when you have a rough 10 day stretch. Zobrist works counts as well as anyone on the team(something that is underappreciated this year relative to past seasons) and the alternatives all have flaws/worries too. It's an imperfect puzzle of like 8 guys for 4 spots, you're going to be making different tradeoffs no matter what you choose. Also, not even Baez would have gotten Broxton at 1B on that play last inning. Monthly spits are also going to look bad when you've had as bad a season as Zobrist has. Yeah, he's been injured, and he's still not looking that great because of it. I don't think he brings enough to the table right now to justify starting him this much over the three other 2B options they have, and DEFINITELY not batting him in the middle of the damn lineup. The comment on his defense isn't just over a single play; at best his defense breaks even with La Stella. I get that they wanted to see if he'd bounce back, but hey, he really didn't. Fortunately they've got other options.
  9. Uh, yeah, get this latest "offense gonna scuffle" bout out of your system now, guys.
  10. Oooh, and don't forget his forgettable defense, too. What an asset.
  11. He's had a rough week or so. The week or so before that he was 12 for 28 with 7 walks. He has a loud single in today's game in 2 trips. He's fine. Yeah, his .230 .329 .295 .624 line in September is just peachy keen. Play La Stella or Happ at 2B if Baez on the bench; Zobrist serves no purpose except to age slightly closer to inevitable death.
  12. What is the point of starting Zobrist? He brings absolutely nothing to the table right now.
  13. I mean, Joe didn't HAVE to put together such a brutal 5-9 in the lineup...but he did.
  14. Seems like an uneccessary dive, but hey; good on you, Jay.
  15. Can't totally whiff on a nigh-gimme run like that, Corbs.
  16. Zobrist batting in the middle of the lineup is always such a soggy fart of disappointment.
  17. This is what you get for not even trying with the gifs, dude.
  18. What "Brewers series in Milwaukee" are you even talking about?
