he's also GIDP twice today. Hey, 2 GIDP and 1 HR is better than 3 GIDP. I'd be shocked if Armais doesn't get back up there once you get another big hitter in the lineup for him to hit after. That's just always going to be his role. If the Cubs play smart and surround him with Lees (Derrek and Carlos, if the latter is able to be picked up), I have little doubt he'll be the monster we've seen him be.

Remember how Juan Pierre hit that awesome triple in his first at bat for the Cubs this year? For that one moment, maybe everything was going to be OK? I wanna go back to that.

I think it was mentioned they wanted another decent player besides Hill, and the deal was never really very serious beyond the "hey, tossing it out there..." stages, if at all.

yeah, surprisingly young pitchers don't very often go out there and dominate from the very start of their career. Surprisingly, a lot of them aren't as jaw-droppingly awful as Rich Hill. We get it...you don't like people picking on him.

The only game that pumped his ERA up was the SF start. Everything else has looked pretty kosher. Coincidentally, the SF game was the first one where Sean couldn't have his good luck meal because of the early start. Hmmmmmm...

On the one hand, that's awesome and what you hope to hear. On the other hand, it raises concerning questions about the team's coaches and management. Shocker, I know. I understand the concern, but if it's going to "bristle" your pitcher, why even bother announcing it? Talk it over with Wood in private and decide for sure before making a statement. It makes everyone look bad.
