    If Dempster came in tonight, would it be his 3rd appearance in as many games? Even if it is, I think he should come in and close it out. Long break coming up and he's been way too unsure these days...give him a game with a big lead.

    I can't even quote the rest, it's too absurd. It involves realizing he was injured while getting up off a couch and another sneezing story. You'd think the team would have invested in anti-allergy medication for everyone after Sammy's bout with the cripplin'-sniffles.

    I've been saying it since the end of May...shut Prior down for the year. This season is so far from being worth pushing him out there it's not even funny. Do what needs to be done to let him heal and rehab, give him some minor league starts, but work with the idea that he does not need to be ready at ANY point this season. I don't give a crap what Prior can do this year...if he can get healthy, all I care about is the future. Pushing him out there now when he's clearly not healed from whatever the hell is going on is stupid and wrong and unecessary.

    What the hell team am I watching? First batter homers. Next batter walks on 4 straight pitches. Next batter hits a double. Next batter hits a beauty of a sac fly, scoring 1 runner and advancing the other to 3rd. Next batter executes a gem of a suicide squeeze that scores the runner on 3rd. WHAT TH-?!?

    That would be me. :) Where do they play? Jacques is tied up for another year, so unless we trade him, are we going to deal with the disaster that is Soriano at second base? Lee would obviously play in LF and Soriano's stellar offense has been proven...if he can hit like he is in a cavern like RFK, his offensive output at Wrigley would far more than make up for any defensive lackngs he has.

    It's no worse a strawman that "playing the game the right way", or having "heart". Yeah, those are pretty empty catch phrases, but it still doesn't discount being able to be frustrated with a player who has shown he can be an all star playing this bad for this long, clearly dogging it multiple times on the field, and nothing seems to change.
