I was totally confident about last night's game and the Cubs ended up looking like neutered chumps. I am totally depressed and nervous about tonight's game, so hopefully that means they'll completely dominate and look like world-beaters.

Where's the "they already have" option?

Didn't the Cubs suck against all of them this year? I guess I'd pick the Padres...Rockies, if they make it.

Yeah, how dare they show a famous victory highlight in their own stadium. When they know its rubbing it in the face of the visiting and majority of fans? Pretty dumb and petty thing to do. Still their victory, still their stadium. Honestly, in the big picture, any Cubs fans' complaining is just sour grapes. I think that's nonsense. This isn't just a Florida thing, lots of teams do this confrontational BS, and it's disgusting. They do it in Philly and NY, and even the Rockies pulled this crap. It basically eggs on bad behavior by the fans. Their house their rules is absurd. There's no justification for that ignorant behavior and obvious attempt to stir up emotions that will lead to problems. this was my first game outside of the 4 i have seen at tropicana field...VERY different environment...first of all...i never thought that i would see less people in a stadium than at tropicana...that was freaking mind-blowing... and playing this type of "in-your-face" video obviously contributed to the rude behavior being witnessed up close and personal last night... Seriously, people are bothered by this? Of course they're only playing it because the Cubs are in town. It's not like they're inciting violence on the Cubs or calling them names...they're playing clips from a game between the two that has gone a long way to being one of the major moments in the Marlins' history when the opposing team is in town. The Marlins are out of it, but it's not like they don't want to still win games, so that kind of competitive tone in the staidum doesn't surprise or offend me at all. If the Cubs had won instead of looking pathetic, everyone here would be shrugging it off or not even noticing it.

I can't wait to see it next year!

Including last year, I believe they said on the broadcast tonight that the Cubs have lost their last 8 games against the Marlins. Damn Fish.

To be fair, once you watch like 55% of your games (all the WGN and CSN home games, plus the occasional national game) in HD, the other half or so look pretty freakin crappy. Yeah, I'll live. But once you get used to HD, other stuff looks pretty crappy. Like VHS compared to DVD. I guess since I don't have an HD TV I really can't get into the whole HD craze. Yeah, it definitely looks better, not not so much that I feel like I'm really missing anything not watching it in HD. With DVD's, I'm buying movies and TV shows that typically are shot to be of a certain expected level of "filmed" quality, so there I definitely appreciate any advances in picutre clarity much moreso than when I watch sports. As long as I can see what's going on, I'm good. HD really isn't ging to highlight something I'm going to miss otherwise.

Plus, we aren't facing quaility pitching. The whole Marlins series the pitchers have ERA in the 5's. If you can't take 2/3 or sweep these guys you might as well pack it up. This should be over by Friday. We got swept by those fools earlier this year. Yeah, but that was during the dark days of this season. Anyone could have swept the Cubs then...and sometimes did.

That was before today, at least I am assuming it will go down after today. I'm incredibly optimistic right now, but I will believe everything about the Cubs going to the playoffs when I see it. Until they clinch, I must be even just a little wary.

One problem with that is them showing hits/home runs from the Cubs-Marlins series when the Cubs got swept. Aren't these supposed to be positive memories? One of those clips is definitely from the NSBB day game, which I thought really weird. I saw several losses in there...I guess it was more of a HR reel than anything. Weird seeing those Barrett shots.

Cardinals, if you sweep the Brewers, I will slap a Pujols avatar up and leave it there through all of next season.
