  1. That's what he kept saying in the interview - that he got his hand stepped on. Could just be saying the 'right' thing.... Looking at the two angles, I really think he got his hands under Barrett's foot, either pushing his way under or as Barrett was moving his own foot back. Watch the backstop angle...Barrett's foot moves back over/along the plate. The 3rd base angle shows Holliday's fingers wedged against/under Barrett's shoe the entire time he is moving forward and past the plate. It's not clear, but putting the two angles together I think he would have at least gotten the plate with a few fingertips.
  2. They only have 2 angles of the slide...the one from the backstop shows that Holliday's hand slams into Barrett's foot and Barrett's foot backs up over the plate, but Holliday's hand is obscurred. If his hand is pushing Barrett's foot back like it looks like, it very likely touches the plate. Both angles suck.
  3. He must have really been rattled up on the slide...he didn't even move towards the plate to make sure he got it.
  4. Between the blown homerun call earlier and the way Hoffman was getting teed off of, I figure that final call was just baseball's way of balancing things out.
  5. Thank God we have such a phenom in Prior. I think he can go 110-120 pitches EASY if we need him to. RIDE THAT HORSE!!!
  6. Damn, Hawkins still has the heat. Dusty wasted him so badly.
  7. Don't have one. That said, so long as it's not the Cardinals or Astros, I'll root for the NL team in the WS. In 2005 I basically pretended the world didn't exist.
  8. I hope they keep him for a least a few years. I smell a Dusty a-brewin'.
  9. So, in short, the key is to sweep the damn series.
  10. Wow, the quality of that pic is amazing. It almost looks staged.
  11. It lasted until about 6:30. Felix looked like he couldn't wait to get back to the hotel...though like Len and Bob said, Fontenot seemed to enjoy his a little too much...
  12. Hmmm, interesting, that curve wasn't a strike 3 for Rich last inning, blue.
  13. Wow, great play by Phillips.
  14. I know Fontenot is tiny, but DAMN, that man is tiny.
  15. Beautiful outing by Hill.
  16. Shoulda had that called strikeout.
  17. AWWWWWWWWW!
  18. RICH HILL.
  19. Maaaaannnnnn...I know it's the bigger picture that needs to be thought of, but I wanna see a no-hitter!
  20. Hmmmmmmmmm...
  21. CEDENOWNED.
  22. Don't know the temperature range to be honest with you, but it was one of the warmer home openers in recent years. That said, everyone still needed to bundle up. I was there. I froze my ass off. Wait until you go to a few more. This year was downright pleasant compared to most of the others I've been to.
  23. Who the hell is this "Bareit?"
