I hope that this is a turning point and his prolonged slump is done, but it's not like one awesome AB instantly negates how bad he's looked for a few weeks now. he's got just over 300 PAs against major league pitching. pitchers needed some time to adjust to soto and learn what he does well - drive fastballs on the inner half of the plate - and now soto is learning to adjust to what big league pitchers are doing to get him out - throwing him breaking balls and trying to force him to go the other way. most guys are not albert pujols; they don't come up with no holes in their game. for most guys, it's a learning process where they fill the holes in their game over time. Agreed, and that's what everyone is hoping for, but it doesn't makes weeks of horrible AB's any less frustrating.
