  1. It's not that arbitrary or subjective. He's an extreme case. There's a few like him and it's annoying. What's extreme? He jumps and yells and stuff on the mound after his team wins. The game is over and he and his team were victorious, so he celebrates. Is there some kind of guideline as to what's acceptable in terms of onfield celebration after a victory? Zambrano and Marmol do all kinds of stomps and jumps and yells and fist pumps and screaming at God and whatnot after getting the final out of an inning while the game is still going. Why is Valverde "extreme?" At least Valverde does it at the end of the game when it's all over ad his team has won and he has an actual reason to be that pumped.
  2. Thats true, but isnt it kind of hypocritical? Everyone complains about a batter celebrating, but never a pitcher. It should be all or nothing. It is hypocritical. Batters should be able to celebrate when they get the job done, too. Extending a stupid reaction to onfield celebration isn't the thing to do. All the guy is doing is getting excited on the mound after his team wins...and? Who cares? Beat his team and you don't have to see him get excited. It's pretty simple.
  3. Why? His job is to close the game for his team and he gets pumped when he does. Good for him. The completely arbitrary and subjctive anti-celebration "rules" in baseball are stupid.
  4. Brenly was basically saying that the pitches Howry were serving up were flat out inexcusable.
  5. I think they should play "any which way but lose" and replace every other player with a lovable orangutang.
  6. I love watching Valverde. He is an artiste.
  7. Ah well. At least no ground was lost.
  8. Whoa, WHAT happened to Koyie Hill? He chopped off some fingers with a table saw?!?
  9. Why was Blanco used for the PH and not Hoff?
  10. Onions and cheese and 10 to a sack.
  11. Because you've hit into four double plays already today. And that impacts this how? You want a guy in scoring position. End of story. youre not going to win this I know...groupthink rules all. Yeah, that's what it is. Of course.
  12. Ah well. Soto, play my song, baby.
  13. Talk about being tossed into the fire.
  14. I'd actually prefer Aramis to not walk here.
  15. A walkoff win would be a lovely change of pace.
  16. I'd love to see Lee hitting #2 or #5 next year, but man, hardcore LULZ to the people saying he needs to be off the team.
  17. Hahahahahahhahaaaaaah! Bob barely masking his disdain for 90210.
  18. If there's a chatroom outside of this suicide pit, please PM me the room name.
