I actually like it when a hitter squares up on the first pitch (as if he is going to bunt). Anything to shift the defense a little bit might be enough to punch the ball through the infield or over a defenders head. Yeah. I actually thought, "Soto, you crafty mofo making them think you're going to bunt so they move in at the corners." Oops I thought he'd just do it on the first pitch. Then he kept doing it. I was beside myself with disbelief. I still can't believe it, really. Cards are like, "OK, just pin Pie to 1st with some throw-overs, and let them hand us the double play." On top of that, the Cardinals seemed to be giving the Cubs tons of extra time to change their mind with all the attempts to pickoff Felix, as if out of pity.
