  1. Except that when he actually faces someone on the mound better than a cardboard cutout (as in the playoffs the last two seasons) he is inept at leading off, hitting homeruns, and pretty much anything else offensively... Soriano smells like a rose when he swings at the first two pitches of an AB. He bats .375-.400 in his CAREER when he puts the ball in play in those situations. He's a fastball hitter and does everything AGAINST the theories of what a leadoff hitter should do... He's a great stat padder, but when the game is on the line, and he has two strikes on him, he will FAIL because he refuses to adjust and play the team game. 3-28 with a solitary walk in the last two playoff series is ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW... .107/.138/.245 0HR 0RBI Now post Aramis' numbers in the last 2 postseasons Yeah, he's been terrible too. But this thread is about Soriano. Sammy was terrible in the postseason too. Aramis I give a reprieve because he he was key in 2003. Soriano was key in 2007 and 2008.
  2. Bob seemed to be biting his tongue when the camera showed that fat kid.
  3. When you lose total control of the bat like that it should somehow be classified differently than "struck out swinging." He struck out spazzing.
  4. I'll never get tired of the ice cream tragedy. It's basically a metaphor for this whole season.
  5. No. Maybe if they pick up Shea Hillenbrand. My God. They'd be unstoppable. Don't you mean "My Shea?" That's blasphemous to our Fuld our God.
  6. No. Maybe if they pick up Shea Hillenbrand. My God. They'd be unstoppable.
  7. As terrifying as Fox is behind the plate, I'm thinking he needs to get the start seeing as how early this game is after last night's.
  8. Blah-blah-blah. You came here because the Cubs lost and you only post when that happens so you can push the same "woe is us"/"fire Hendry and all will be well" [expletive] you always and only spout when they lose. It's adorable you seem to think the Cubs are likely to have a better front office or better scouts or a better farm system if they "clean house." You keep talking about norms, well wake the [expletive] up and recognize the norm of this organization's history of having all of those aspects of the club at subpar levels. This year isn't going to change anything. Ricketts isn't going to change anything. Any new cast of characters is going to be a variation of the same or worse. Stop talking like it's even remotely likely that the Cubs are going to stumble assbackwards into having the patience and the knowhow to construct a quality team or front office a la the Red Sox or Phillies or the Angels or the Dodgers because it's not happening. You're living in a complete and total fantasy world that's never ever going to come true so long as you claim to be a Cubs fan, which I'm baffled as to how you are one since that should be painfully obvious to any Cubs fan. There's zero motivation for most owners to take the time it would take to overhaul everything.
  9. Nah. The problem I have with you is that you're an idiot here just to troll. It's a joke you haven't been banned yet.
  10. At least we will forever have the joy of the ice cream disaster.
  11. Right on cue. Show some balls, Arnold. not around all game, shows up when we lose. how is this not a troll? Beats me. I've got serious money on him becoming an insider within a few weeks at this rate.
  12. About [expletive] time, you [expletive] cocksuckers.
  13. Just end this. This season is like a festering scab.
