Alright, that was a pretty ridiculous defensive play by Buerhle. Takes a grounder off the shin, ball rolls into foul territory, he runs over and flips it with his glove between his legs to Konerko behind him, who barehands it, for the out.
So did ESPN just give up on both baseball games? They cut away for Tiger's press conference and now ESPN and ESPN 2 are both just showing Sportscenter.
There were a bunch of people here that thought Blanco was a good one. We traded him for a reason. Posters here got mad at me for posting the disappointing stats of Blanco after he got traded. Hahahahah! Nicely done.
That's awesome. I would have figured that Ricketts would have his own private aircraft, though. Granted, it was Todd as opposed to Tom, but my dad asked about that and Ricketts said they just charter planes if they need a "private" one.
My old man got to meet Tom Ricketts in Arizona last week. He helped my dad get a picture of Billy Williams autographed. My dad is going to be 79 next month but he sounded like a little kid when he was telling me about it. The picture is of him and Billy from a few years ago and Billy was nice enough to personalize it and bring it over to him. :good: Very cool.
An advocate of him as a fulltime starter or just that he get some starts while he's up with the team? Actually he did say if it were up to him Colvin would start the first game as a reward for his spring. I think that's a bad idea from Bruce. Making the team was a reward for his spring. Fukudome is the most qualified RF on the team, you start him on opening day, no questions asked. You don't sit your best option in favor of a barely qualified player who had a flukishly good spring training. Yeah, I definitely don't agree with Miles' idea on that one.
