What does he have to do to get some respect around here? I'm not saying he is going to be Alex Rodriguez tomorrow, but he WILL be the face of this franchise in 3 years or less. I know we are Cubs fans but have a little faith! Is it not possible to have a prospect worth playing in our mediocre (at best) infield? Wait, what? He's not "respected?" You say "everyone loves him now" as if everyone hated him before his first AB? You're sounding delusional.

    the BA prospect handbook mentioned specifically that he hits breaking pitches well. they said he usually takes the first one from a pitcher he hasn't seen and then attacks the next. That's so, so nice.

    Yeah, that was the same thing I said in the Castro thread. Of course, now that it actually makes any kind of sense to bat Soto 8th Lou opts to not do so. In all honestly, isn't it the line up you would have predicted Lou to draw up for today? Sure, but just we can predict his stupid decisions it doesn't make them any less stupid.
