  1. Heh, check that, because my post was wrong; Sale was responsible for the 3 runs in the 9th (or at least loaded the bases before he was pulled). Thornton then pitched the 10th and gave up 10 himself. Hysterical.
  2. Not going to start an "other games" thread, but holy crap, the White Sox bullpen [expletive] the bed again. Up 4-1 in the 9th and, I believe, Thornton gives up 3 runs and then 3 more in the 10th. And Pierre had his 3rd error in LF again (though it was earlier in the game). Gonna tune in for the hopefully epic Ozzie meltdown.
  3. Hell, sit Noah for whole series against the Pacers.
  4. BUT THE BULLS SUCK ON THE ROAD WHAT GIVES
  5. Yessssssssssssssssssssss: http://www.wheresweems.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/2.jpg
  6. Oh, wow. Youk looks like a monster.
  7. Maddux needs to be grandfathered in to this. He's incapable of taking a non-awkward/creepy pic.
  8. That is some epic air.
  9. Maybe a good time to give Castro his first day off. Barney at SS and Baker at 2B?
  10. Heh, the three-headed monster at 2B owns Wandy.
  11. It could be true, but I'd take it with a grain of salt if B&B said it. Why he would continue using a driver when he can't control where the golf ball is going is certainly perplexing. Especially since he can hit a 3W 300 yards. Okay, on those eagle holes, break out the driver so you still have a shot at eagle. But on the par 4's, just hit the 3W straight down the middle and stay out of the crap. Scrambling to get up and down is certainly more entertaining to the viewer, but the odds are against you putting up good scores regularly. Right, it just doesn't make much sense. B&B are usually full of [expletive] and are awful.
  12. Hockey [expletive] sucks. Cubs win, 6-3.
  13. It could be true, but I'd take it with a grain of salt if B&B said it.
  14. And what about Dusty? Eh, he probably would have been gone regardless.
  15. In the bigger picture it always makes me wonder how the Cubs would have approached the 2006-2007 offseason. Yeah, that 2006 team REALLY sucked, so I'm not sure how much of an effect a fully healthy Lee coming off of that 2005 season would have had on the rest of the lineup (they were just 4 wins under their miserable pythag), but who knows? Maybe they would have ended up close enough to .500 that it wouldn't have prompted the spending spree. Then things get really crazy...
  16. So it's two transactions available before the ASB and then one WC transaction at the ASB, correct?
  17. Mateo's looking pretty good, and despite his monstrous starts Russell seems like he can be useful out of the pen.
  18. Alright, I'm just getting home. I haven't checked any scores...lay it on me.
  19. Hendry stated on air with Len & Bob that Cashner was likely going to miss "significant time."
  20. So there's probably not too much concern over him "cooling off" too drastically over the course of the season if he's used against LH pitchers. Yeah, we're not going to see too many monster games like the one against the Brewers (and his early stats are obviously inflated higher than his career norms because of it), but I'm not sure what you're worried about with him. He is what he is.
  21. Just take two seconds to look at Baker's career numbers vs. lefties.
  22. it's the astros, they're terrible and don't have a legitimate #1 starter. no game against them is "essentially a forfeit." Yes, I agree; JeffH is always wrong.
  23. And Quade will probably go to Shark first tomorrow just to [expletive] things up even more.
