  1. Ugh, you're the worst. You're talking about them maybe becoming the Rays down the line; I added I want them to be the Rays + big spending. Neither scenario is applicable right now. And then you inexplicably went off on a Josh Hamilton tangent.
  2. Being the Rays + spending about $70-90 million more than they usually do is much better.
  3. Bryan LaHair is a starter for the Cubs?!?!?! http://rhida.ch/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/angrydome.gif

  5. The correct response when LaHair is the Cubs' starting 1B: http://i0.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/original/000/126/314/3cd8a33a.png?1306264975
  6. Damn. First Kemp; now Kendrick. STOP DENYING ME, CALIFORNIA.
  7. The amount of time it would take would probably only cut your 80 daily posts to about 75.
  8. Keep in mind that he also suffered from non-Hodgkins Lymphoma in 2008. Part of the increase in stats is moving to the PCL. Part of it is maturing as a player. Part of it is also getting further away from his disease. but that's the good hodgkins, right? I wasn't aware that there were good forms of cancer. This dude will dish out the hackiest jokes this side of the Borscht Belt but has no [expletive] clue about the good/bad Hodgkins thing.
  9. Is that a rhetorical question, because the closest thing to an answer that I have is that my spell check doesn't catch such errors. Fair enough... on this one. There's no excuse, however, at this point for not knowing that Jorge Soler's last name is NOT spelled Solar That is all P.S. You're not the only one who does that with Soler Dammit, you beat me to the edit. I like my second answer better. Pray to god we don't acquire Kila Kalahuii or JP Arrenciaba. Go to Google. Type in the player's name as you think it's spelled. Let Google correct it for you. Copy and paste and learn.
  10. when they're still calling castro a rapist in 2019 tell me if it's annoying As opposed to all the respect and admiration they'd have for him otherwise?
  11. Yeah, same here. The "worry" about what fans of other teams think should be pretty [expletive] far down the list of concerns right now.
  12. Whoooooooooooooooooo gives a [expletive] what other fans think?
  13. Don't tell me what to do.
  14. I predict that in the next few weeks, Soriano will be traded to Tampa Bay along with $47.5 million for Reid Brignac and it will be me with the perfect mix of overwhelming joy, seething rage, a bunch of saber metrics attempting to prove that it was the greatest thing to happen to this country since the death of Osama Bin Laden. The [expletive] just happened.
  15. Why are you screaming at Wrigley? Theo works at Fenway. I figured Roast was in the vicinity.
  16. If Theo somehow got away with trading Soriano and only paying around half of his salary I'd take back most of the mean things I screamed at Wrigley Field as I passed it on the train today.
  17. Until they actually start making moves like that there's nothing wrong with griping how anti-climactic things have been so far.
  18. That's the worst that can happen. Didn't you hear that Theo wants to change the culture and build a winning team? Don't you remember that Theo says he wants productive players and who have their teammates' back? How does Z fit into any of those? Has he suddenly see the light and will shape up? You want to bring back an overpaid malcontent who attacked his teammates, quit on the team and is non-productive? No thanks. This is the showcase tour. Z has little value right now and if shows something now, maybe a team will be interested. I'm sure we may have to eat some $$$, but Theo knows that Z can't be brought back. Yes, he can. Nope..as I told you earlier. Yes, he could have pitched for the Cubs.
  19. Why? Because they're mediocre players? http://www.yyyup.com/
