  1. That seems obvious, I'm not sure what there is for him to prove. Fine, if you want to start yet another semantics argument, it's what he has to disprove. He has to tell his side of the story and so far he's chosen not to to the proper authorities and has skipped both town and the country.
  2. Hahah, you're a funny guy! Wait, there's nothing for Castro to prove. Oh, joke fail. Well, it's an ongoing investigation and he's a person of interest, so, yeah, there is. Wait a minute. There's nothing for him to prove. How is there nothing for him to prove? If there was nothing he had to explain then he could just ignore this and nothing would come of it and we wouldn't even be at this point. Until he explains his side of the story and the police decide whether or not there's something there he most certainly has something to "prove."
  3. Hahah, you're a funny guy! Wait, there's nothing for Castro to prove. Oh, joke fail. Well, it's an ongoing investigation and he's a person of interest, so, yeah, there is. "Innocent until proven guilty" doesn't mean you don't have to actually prove or provide convincing arguments that you're innocent, and so far Castro's only actions have been to seemingly flee the country and then not deal with this at all, yet your criticism stems from calling the woman a "gold-digger."
  4. Classy. Here, let's flip it; prove it, Rapey McRapeface.
  5. Hold on, I'm not too clear on how that works.
  6. The glory and the power.

  8. -Long, expensive careers should not be expected.
  9. His calling in life is to be the best Seinfeld fan possible. But man, can he wear a tie.
  10. If only Theo had been running a baseball team during the Josh Hamilton saga.
  11. Bradley, Soriano, Fukudome, Hawkins..etc.... you might remember them. I don't know whether the Cubs will be good or entertaining, but they appear to have a plan and I'm willing to give them time to see how it takes shape. Only one of those players received a "long, expensive contract." You seem to be conflating spending poorly or unwisely with giving out monster deals a la Soriano's contract. Soriano's contract was not par for the course for the Cubs under Hendry in terms of how much money/how many years the player got. And you're going to be disappointed if you think the Cubs not spending big now means they won't do it again in the future.
  12. TT's irrational and intense hatred of him, I think. It's really not all that irrational. I'd generally consider actually getting worked up over a mediocre player being used in a fairly reasonable manner to be just a smidge irrational. So you've seen TT acting out on this besides hyperbolic posting on a message board?
  13. The Cubs' didn't have a problem of singing too many FA to long, expensive contracts. And the team likely isn't going to be very good come mid-season. Building for the future is great, but let's not act like the next great or good Cubs team is even remotely close to constructed right now.
  14. Well, it IS a story about love, deception, greed, lust and...unbridled enthusiasm.
  15. I was going to say that I'd give WSR $5 if he spent one week limiting all of his posts to 3 sentences or less, but that Hamilton monstrosity is just 2.
  16. TT's irrational and intense hatred of him, I think. It's really not all that irrational.
  17. Ugh, you're the worst. You're talking about them maybe becoming the Rays down the line; I added I want them to be the Rays + big spending. Neither scenario is applicable right now. And then you inexplicably went off on a Josh Hamilton tangent.
  18. Being the Rays + spending about $70-90 million more than they usually do is much better.
  19. Bryan LaHair is a starter for the Cubs?!?!?! http://rhida.ch/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/angrydome.gif

  21. The correct response when LaHair is the Cubs' starting 1B: http://i0.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/original/000/126/314/3cd8a33a.png?1306264975
  22. Damn. First Kemp; now Kendrick. STOP DENYING ME, CALIFORNIA.
  23. The amount of time it would take would probably only cut your 80 daily posts to about 75.
