  1. There's always a why it's "good" a deal fell through. After the Haren incident I have no problem trusting this FO to offer Sanchez 5 years. If they're OK with that, they should be OK with 6. And how many pitchers aren't pitching with some kind of discomfort or pain on a regular basis?
  2. There's a midnight train to Dodgertown. I say we take it. IM IN. ME THREE (legend legend third wheel legend always in the way) SO MANY KEY PEOPLE ALREADY OUT WEST. It just makes too much sense. So long, Stinktown!
  3. For a few years I was getting in on a family member's season ticket seats (about 15-20 games a season). It was 4 seats in a row of, I think, 6, and was on the first level directly behind the Cubs dugout just under where the upper deck started. They were two rows back from the main walkway and a tunnel was just to the left with a bathroom right on the other side. Perfect seats.

  5. Oh, sorry. I need to maintain the purity of the system. I need a color that's between yellow and green. Take that [expletive] to your sorry ass blog.
  6. Not yet. It's still a possibility that we get Sanchez and actually have some pitchers in 2014. No, I mean make the color less eye-rapingly bright.
  7. Another year? More money? [expletive] THAT. Gotta have principles.
  8. The take it or leave it approach only works if you're actually willing to beat out competitive teams in years/money. Throwing a shitty product out there and then capping your offers at about the B+ level at best isn't going to have many takers.
  9. Outstanding. Can we beam sean's post out to every site Kyle has infected?
  10. I love you, Brandon Marshall.
  11. Which is kind of weird because he's shooting at quite a good percentage this year. It's not like he's having to chuck 40+ times to get there. I think he was something like 17/26 last night against Cleveland. It points to the fact that he doesn't distribute the ball. With Nash out, there is no one to run the offense A basket doesn't count for more if it's passed by Kobe beforehand. He was shooting well last night.
  12. Well, given that there's the very good argument that pitchers were likely on PEDs to avoid the DL, I think it all evens out.
  13. Recap? Meatballs or legitimate criticism? Huh? It was just background noise.
  14. Finally, something we can all agree on.
  15. http://i.imgur.com/jHMVR.gif Outstanding.
  16. What was he saying? Next weeks game is gonna bury this team barring more Cutler to Marshall magic To paraphrase, Cutler should be grateful if the Bears resign him, since he can't stay healthy. Holy hell, that is [expletive] ridiculous.
  17. So, so, so tired of Hester.
  18. Man, Marshall is a god.
  19. That's about the only time I don't since he's inexplicably hard to tackle. I cringe seeing him do everything else.
  20. This game is enough to make me think that we may, indeed, miss the playoffs. And yes, Lovie *should* be fired if we do miss the playoffs after starting 7-1. You can't feel too confident going against GB next week. People were acting like I was crazy with the Lovie talk and the 'offense is a joke' mantra. Holy overgeneralizations, Batman. Your quote was 'The Bears offense is not horrible.' Yeah, and it still is; my response is based on you inexplicably thinking people called you crazy for talking about Love when EVERYONE has been talking about whether he stays or goes. Hell, our discussion about the Bears' offense was one of the few times I DIDN'T act like you were meatball and actually talked to you. And no, I don't think it's horrible. It's little more than a semantics argument, but to me a horrible offense is one that has to be overhauled. An offense that is set at QB, #1 WR, potentially #2 WR and at RB isn't horrible. They need serious help at the OL and at TE and I'd love to see an upgrade from Tice, but you're talking like the thing needs to be burnt down and rebuilt.
