    Even the rooftop stuff just feels like he's culling multiple local business reports and condensing them into single pieces. Again, it's useful, but it is what it is.

    Most sports media is hot garbage that just repeats the same shreds of info and rumors a billion times over. It's barely a step up from the discussions here and often times much, much worse (BCB). Brett is a good writer, but the apologist thing is dead-on and most of the time he's just putting up Cliff's Notes-summaries of other people's reporting/posting. It's useful, but he's not really breaking any new ground or stories.

    Brett's not that bad, he just aims for broad appeal and is a bit of an apologist. I pretty much don't read Parks anymore. Brett is dying to come up with a thing. The stupid Hulk stuff for Schwarber and the painfully unfunny #FireTheo Sell him #PoorTomRicketts for mad phat cash.

    I hope the Blackhawks win a bunch of those Champion Cup things and don't die in a tragic plane crash.

    They're going to lose, all of the big prospects except Bryant are going to bust or disappoint, the TV thing is going to be a mess, the renovations are going to be a prolonged nightmare and they're going to struggle to hit .500 every couple of years or so. The Bulls aren't going to get any of the dreamed acquisitions and Jay Cutler is going to be crippled on the field. I'm going full sulley to reverse jinx this garbage town.

    It makes me mad, because I had such little grasp of it before, and now these last three seasons have been the equivalent of huffing glue in a closed garage over a sleepless weekend. It feels like the way things should be, or any advantages they should be able to take doesn't happen. Ever. It defies reason.

    Douchebags are always preferable because great players are almost always douchebags, but big fat party animals are tolerable. It is a tricky line, though, because it's very easy to end up in Mark Grace territory, where you're a douchebag AND a big fat party animal, but not that great and you're just unlikable.

    Because it stays on the head much better than a batting helmet. I'm kinda stunned at the number of people who think that's a viable option and wouldn't go flying off of a pitcher's head too often.
