  1. Um...D-Backs? He's only a year behind. Give him a break. Haha....oh...umm...hmm. I really can not defend myself here.
  2. Wow. Congrats Angels on the trade.
  3. Tonight, Chicago didn't have much of a choice but to give Jones a little room. They were getting killed early by Z, so they had to beef up in the lane, then LeBron took over, so whoever played DJ would give him a bit more room for helpside, and plus, before Damon caught fire, the Cavs were shooting poorly from the perimeter. By the way, the TNT announcers said something interesting.... They said that Chandler was hurt by the 'boos' and that he had a video coordinater for the Bulls make a video of his best highlights. He watched them and then said that he is embarrassed by his play of late and is going to work as hard as he can to get better. Given, tonight wasn't a very good representation of that, but still, it's hope. The Refs were blowing the whistle pretty quick in this one. Some of Chicago's fouls were questionable...
  4. Yeah, Chicago played really good for the first three quarters, but the free-throw line tells the tale in this game. Cleveland shot 31 more free throws than the Bulls.
  5. The tribe offered him 1 year 6 million too. BLARGH!
  6. As a Cleveland fan I wouldn't want that trade. Marte is an absolute beast. He alone is worth more than Crisp, and you get Mota to take Howry's spot in the pen. It's a steal for the Tribe. Marten hasn't proven anything yet at the big-league level. Coco has? And are you honestly even beginning to compare Mota to Howry?
  7. As a Cleveland fan I wouldn't want that trade.
  8. As an Indians fan, I hate the idea of trading Crisp. I'd like to see us lock up all of our top guys in long term deals. If we got Nomar, I'd like to see him in RF, while keeping crisp. However, I wouldn't mind seeing a trade with Belliard, and putting Nomar at second. Although I'm not exactly sure where Nomar fits into our lineup, if we would happen to keep Crisp. He'd be no where higher than 6th. 1) Sizemore 2) Crisp 3) Peralta 4) Hafner 5) Martinez I also wouldn't mind Nomar playing third. Boone was a huge hole in our offense last year. However, we might another pitcher. Elarton just signed with the Royals. We still have Sabathia, Westbrook, Lee, and Bird. I'd love to see Casey Blake go somewhere in a trade.
  9. Yeah, but it would be optional. Hell, subsilver could even be made the default.
  10. I was wondering why there isn't a forum skin that is either in a Cubs theme or a baseball theme or both. I checked the post that says what you get with upgrading to premium, and it wasn't there. Then I checked my profile to see if I could actually change it, and couldn't, only subSilver available. I'm sure that someone could make a skin. Also, you can make it optional for people to switch back and forth to see which they like better. Maybe you do have another forum skin and I don't know about it, but if you don't, it's an idea.
  11. No. They just substitute the word cola for either 'pop' or 'soda'. Example: Do you want me to get you a cola?
  12. What constitutes something being a "cola drink"? Just curious. I say soda. Coke, Pepsi, RC Cola, etc. Pepsi?
  13. Here is a map showing what it is called in reference to geography: http://www.popvssoda.com/images/smalldrawn.gif For me personally, it's pop. [edit] Oops, this should be in the polls section. If a mod would be so kind...
  14. You must be kidding. Do you actually think that most of these NASCAR drivers are actually in shape? Yes, some are, but a lot aren't.
  15. I just remembered: Cleveland traded Giles to get Rincon.
  16. Omar is a great player and a great guy, but as said above, not a good fit for the Cubs right now.
  17. Everyone can do it? Umm, incorrect. Everyone can do ANY sport, but not to the same skill level.
  18. I never cared for him in Cleveland. :?
  19. Flordia State is just College Football's San Diego Padres.
  20. See Hawks vs. Spurs last night Yep.
  21. Boston has a better chance.
  22. So it should be Oregon and TCU? Exactly. Just because a team has 1 loss doesn't mean it should be a higher ranked team. Especially with Ohio State, you can make a strong case. Ohio State's strength of schedule is the 3rd toughest in the nation compared to 49th in the nation by Oregon and 69th by TCU. With Notre Dame at the 39th for SOS you might have a legit beef. Ohio State, with a much tougher schedule than Oregon beat their opponents by an average of 17.73 points per game while Oregon with a schedule that is much weaker beat their opponents by an average of 12.63. (I used Points For Per game and Points Against Per game to come up with that). Couple that with OSU's two losses to the number 2 and 3 BCS team (both very close games) and Oregon getting embarassed on their home turf by USC, its hardly an outrage. If Oregon plays USC like OSU played Texas, they would have that spot in the Fiesta. Agreed.
  23. That prediction made me wonder, so I checked and I was surprised. OSU has given up more than 25 points just once this year, 31 at Minnesota. Other highs were 25 v. Texas, 24 v. Michigan St., and 21 at Michigan. They gave up 10 or fewer points 5 times(N'western, SDSU, @Indiana, Iowa, Illinois). Not trying to make anything of your prediction, just seeing it got me thinking, and what I found I thought was interesting. I agree with you completely. If Texas, who scores 50.9 PPG and get on average 522 yards per game can't put up 27 against OSU, I don't see Notre Dame, who scores 38.2 PPG and gets on average 505.4 YPG, putting up 27. Also wasn't Texas/OSU at the very beginning of the season? There is about 10 more games to evaluate OSU, and find their tendencies. Something that Texas probably had a hard time doing for the first game of the season. I think ND will lose, but I don't think it will be because they don't score a lot. They will just be outscored. Tennessee only allowed one team score over 28 points, and that was ND who hung 41 on them. I have said it before, but UT and OSU are very similiar in D. The difference is OSU has an offense, which will kill ND. They don't have trouble exploiting good D's, just trouble stopping good offenses. There are also 10 more games to evaluate the tendencies of the Notre Dame offense. It works both ways.
