  1. nebraska is one of the worst teams in college football this year. baylor and duke could probably beat them.
  2. eh they suck. if ku doesnt win by more than two touchdowns, thatll be the surprise of the day (boy was that weird to type). mizzou needs to win today. absolutely has to. i dont know what ill do if they lose. M-I-Z!
  3. What a retardedly good deal for the Bulls that would be. I know. I had to ask myself if I heard correctly. Bulls steal Kobe away, though the Lakers do save face a bit with that deal. Not championship material, but become much stronger defensively for sure. Kings, I don't know. Well, they mentioned that the Kings wanted Gordon as a point guard. Why, I dont know, but thats what Bucher said. Anyways, not sure when it happens, but I feel very confident the Bulls get Kobe by the weekend.
  4. I really hope the Lakers panic and give Kobe to the Bulls for something less than they realistically should.
  5. This game is critical for Mizzou. ku has already won on the road at Colorado, so we have to match them.
  6. http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=3082513 Until the Lakers back off their demands some, this won't happen. Good that is an absolutely ridiculous asking price. I'd love Kobe, but absolutely no way in hell for that price.
  7. This was probably the worst they played all year. And it absolutely sucks that we lost Pig for the year. Not sure what to think about Colorado, but hopefully (and probably) Mizzou comes out with a lot more intensity than they did this week. Finally, two things. 1. Attendance was an absolute embarrassment today. In my four years at Mizzou, I've never been so disappointed with a crowd than today. Our fans are so damn fickle, its disgusting. 2. I think we played without a lot of intensity. Hopefully that changes next weekend with us playing on the road against CU. By the way, Mizzou is TOP 10! YESSS!
  8. So, Gordon, Noah, Nocioni, and a first-round pick, plus some way to balance out the moneys? Sign me up for that one. I'd be floored. I'd do that deal so quick my own head might snap off. I doubt the Lakers would go for it. Surely they'll want more than that. I'd want to see the full deal, but that sounds incredibly do-able. Man that would be a great deal. Sucks that the Bulls can't trade Nocioni until December though (even though I love Noch, I'd do this in a second.
  9. Yep, revenge game. We should destroy them.
  10. I don't care what kansas has done, Mizzou is the best team in the north, and the second best team in the Big 12. That was an absolutely dominant performance by the Tigers today. I really don't know who's gonna beat MU the rest of the season. GO TIGERS!
  11. Gameday would have been there if Illinois would have beaten Iowa. http://www.stltoday.com/stltoday/sports/columnists.nsf/dancaesar/story/E22D2D1C4219070F86257373000E9CB2?OpenDocument "We hope to get to a place like Missouri,'' Fowler said. "Champaign is a possibility next week. If Illinois can beat Iowa (today), Illinois-Michigan next week would be one of the more compelling stories out there.'' There's no battle of the titans next Saturday, so Illinois is under heavy consideration. "We haven't been there ... and I've already talked to the people there,'' Fountain said. "They're very excited about it.''
  12. I wouldn't be surprised if Tech beat Mizzou. I'm really worried about this game. MU's defense is gonna have to come up huge just like last year if they want to beat Tech. I am pleased the game is at home, however. I think it'll be very close.
  13. Losing to the 15 team in the nation now is only a "decent loss"? I dont care when IL loss was, the reason Michigan is ranked and Il isnt is because they are Michigan, and Illinois is Illinois. Id think its pretty simple. Who has Michigan beaten? Illinois has beaten the then #5 team Wisconsin, and a top 20 team at the time in Penn State. At the time, Notre Dame's 2005 win over Michigan was a road win over a top 5 team and by the end of the year everyone was trashing it because Michigan lost 5 games. You can't change the criteria for a good win to fit your team. Wisconsin's not very good as they've proven in their ugly wins over The Citadel and Iowa plus their 2 losses, and Penn State isn't either. Although they were ranked higher when Michigan beat them than when you did, so I guess that was an impressive win. If Illinois had won five straight and Michigan had just dropped a game to a team without a league win in over a year, you'd be looking at the reverse situation, there's not a doubt about it. And yes, as Missouri has no win better than a neutral-site win over an unranked team (Nebraska just got steamrolled at home by Oklahoma State and barely squeaked by the BSU Cardinals, so it's safe to say they aren't all that good either), it's 'only' a decent loss. Yeah, Missouri's not all that good even though they were leading going into the fourth at the number 4 ranked team in the country. Read the sentence again, I was referring to Nebraska. I don't even know why I mention Missouri or Illinois in these threads, it's even more of a flame invitation than being a ND fan. I'll just drop the subject entirely. Eh, my bad. Anyways, word on Nebraska boards is that they're going to buy out the contracts of the AD, Callahan and his staff. That would be interesting.

  15. so angry right now about the mizzou loss. so freaking angry. granted i was too drunk to even know what was going on in the second half, still very, very angry, UGH. stupid turnovers, dumb play calls, ahhhhhhhhh. very angry I still think Mizzou is a good team. Hopefully they don't drop too far in the polls.
  16. ugh, I really wish I could go to Norman for the game this weekend. I know 15-20 people who are heading out there, including a few of my roommates. I just don't have the money right now. Oh well, if we lose I won't have to drive seven hours back. Go Tigers!
  17. Pessimistic, don't let yourself get excited version: Allen Patrick or whoever runs the ball for OU, it doesn't matter, makes our defense wish they were never born. Loadholt keeps Sulak from getting to the QB/ballcarrier by eating him like a gingerbread man. Daniel fumbles once and throws a pick. OU wins 35-21 Optimistic, just watched us humiliate Nebraska version: Gameday and OU is enough to get the defense motivated to stop the run again, or at least enough to put the offense back on the field. The offense is a frakking machine that's the reason we've been up 25+ points in the 3rd quarter of every game. Bradford proves my theory that first year QBs never go all the way. Mizzou wins 42-20 Middle ground: I'd be out of my mind to predict a road win against OU. They've got too much talent all the way around, and the best shot is that Mizzou's offense scores enough points to force OU to make some mistakes that might swing the game in our favor. OU wins 38-31 after a late Mizzou TD makes it look closer than it was. I'll be rooting for Mizzou. If they could pull it off it would just make the Illini look that much better. Of course I'm living in Illini dreamland, I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop. I hope Mizzou loses by 100 I hope your face loses by 100. :-k
  18. Man I hope Mizzou pulls this off. Campus would just go insane. I got some friends who are going out there, actually a bunch of people, just because Gameday is gonna be there. Good to see Mizzou traveling well this year. That's been a problem for us in the past. GO TIGERS!
  19. Mizzou third?
  20. Gameday to Norman for Mizzou-OU according to this website: http://www.rockmnation.com/story/2007/10/7/153341/327 So stupid that this game is on FSN. I'm really thinking about heading out there now.
  21. I think gameday should be out at Norman for OU-MU. If Mizzou pulls off this win, I don't know what I'm gonna do. We looked awfully good yesterday, which gave me lots of confidence that this team is really good. And I think Illinois vs. Iowa is actually a mismatch.
  22. AHHHHH Gameday is finally here! We already got our cars up to the lot, now we're gonna get food and booze and start at about 12 or 1. Beat Nebraska!
