Well, as much as it sucks being passed over by the Orange Bowl, it is generating a lot of talk nation wide. Lots of people are ripping kansas and the Orange Bowl for passing over Mizzou. And lots of fans nation wide are commenting on it. The Mizzou scout board is full of fans of other teams telling us that we got screwed over. Anyways, I'm hearing one of the reasons they picked Kansas is that their AD guaranteed the sale of 30,000 tickets. Yet, they havent sold those tickets yet and are even offering them to students for 1/3 the price they paid for them. Meanwhile, Mizzou sold out its allotment of 16,000 in less than two hours, and I'm sure there will be more than that. Anyways, sorry, rant over.

I think a lot of the thought that USC will blow out Illinois comes from the fact that Carroll has USC ready to play during Bowl games. I don't know what will happen, but really wouldn't be shocked at any result. Well, maybe if they won I would be, but if they lose by a field goal or three touchdowns, wouldn't surprise me.

Great post. Couldn't agree more. It sucks that we got left out, and I was really hoping to cap off my senior year with a trip to a BCS bowl. But it's been enjoyable as hell this year. So much school pride on campus and throughout the state, its been a blast to be a part of. I will most definitely be going to the Cotton Bowl. Didn't get a ticket yet cause they are sold out, but I will find a way into the stadium. And Mizzou is definitely here to stay, in my opinion. No, we won't be top ten every year. But I see Missouri becoming an annual fix in the top 25. Next year should be a good year as well, with our tough games against Illinois, at Texas, and at Nebraska. Any of the Mizzou guys gonna go to the game?

I agree. Nothing aganist KU fans, but Missouri was ranked higher in all the polls and the BCS than KU, and had a much higher strength of schedule. Something's seriously wrong with this picture. Mizzou shouldn't have played in the big 12 title game. Ended up screwing us over. I'd really, really, really like to know the reasoning behind picking ku over Missouri.

how the hell is kansas in a damn bcs bowl? absolutely [expletive]. just mind boggling. tech is gonna annihilate them. so basically what this tells us is schedule a bunch of crappy teams in non-conference and youll get rewarded. just terrible.

And that's exactly why Mizzou should be in over Illinois and Kansas, because we beat both of them. Case closed.

Harpo's in Columbia, or are you talking about Harpo's in Chesterfield? If Chesterfield, I'll be there. I absolutely cannot wait for this game. I had an offer to go, but I didn't want to pay $600 for a flight. So I'll be watching it on TV. M-I-Z... In Columbia. Corso picks Mizzou again! It will never get old seeing the Truman head on College Game Day. Looked like there was lots more Mizzou fans than OU fans there, by the way. Good to see. Anyways, less than eight hours. AHHHHHHH!!! Z-O-U!!!!!

This is gonna be a slooooooooooow day and half until the Mizzou game. I can't wait. I'm gonna watch it at a bar, Harpo's. Should be a very rowdy crowd.

At the moment I'd say no. He has too many accuracy issues. He's turning into a heck of a spread college QB though. There's nothing wrong with that. he may e a very effective college QB, but that wasn't what was being debated I agree Derwood. He's going to have to improve his passing ten-fold if he plans on doing anything in the NFL. I doubt he ever will. He's kinda like a poor man's Brad Smith. And Smith never got a shot at QB, now is a receiver/ do it all man for the Jets. And before Illini fans jump on me, Smith is the only player in college football history with 8,000 passing yards and 4,000 rushing yards.

What have they been saying? I haven't really been paying attention to that aspect. They're making a huge deal about the Mizzou players saying they felt they had the game but then kinda lost it with turnovers. HOLY CRAP can you believe that Mizzou players are saying that? I'll try to find a link. It's pretty ridiculous. Well, if Mizzou is gonna get screwed if they lose, the only thing left to do is win. I'm actually feeling a little better about this game. The team has a swagger and is very loose right now. And by the way, all this garbage that OU is trying to use to motivate themselves is pretty stupid in my opinion. Anyways, GO TIGERS!

Not to take anything away from Illinois, but thats one of the most asinine things that could happen. And I've read that too. Just ridiculous that we'd get passed up just cause the Rose Bowl wants a Big Ten team. Anyways Illinois is gonna be good for the next few years so let's just let Mizzou go to a BCS bowl this year. Hopefully Mizzou just beats OU so we don't have to worry about this.

In other news, I just got a ticket to the National Championship game if Mizzou goes. Ahahahahah VERY EXCITED!!!! How did you do that? One of my good friends friends dad is a big time donor and he knows a ticket broker who got him about ten to fifteen tickets. My friend Jeff got a call from his friend Ryan saying he had a couple of extra tickets and if Jeff wanted them they're his. He said yes and called me up. Man we can not lose on Saturday now. We HAVE to win.

I want to go to San Antonio but I have too much school stuff and not enough money. Plus the 17 hour drive does not sound appealing. I do know a group of about 10 that are planning on going. Hopefully we have a huge turnout. This team deserves it.

That was the most unbelievable sporting event I've ever been to. The crowd was just electric and loud as hell. That was so damn fun. I nearly had a heart attack at the end there, but Mizzou was able to hang on. And after the safety it was one of the craziest celebrations I've ever been a part of. Everyone jumping up and down, high fiving, hugging each other. It was awesome.
