This is what hurts the most.... :( Yeah. Kinda like 2003, where the Cubs were around .500 then made their run. I don't think I'm gonna watch the N.L. playoffs at all this year. Especially if Houston and St. Louis are in it again. That would annoy me a lot.

He'd probably take arbitration though. He likes Chicago and the Cubs. Why do you think he played here at a discount to begin with? Plus, draft picks aren't that reliable and wouldn't affect the Cubs for a couple of years at least. We need some immediate help. I remember he said he wanted to come to Chicago cause he thought the Cubs had a great chance to win it all in '04. I miss those days. :cry: -

I'm with you. Although I was too young to see most of those guys play, so since my usernam is da bears, I'll go ahead and say Payton was the best, with Brown a close second. Smith is a distant fifth. -

Soon. When I first looked at this it said 'you should come out with one'. Now it says soon and it wasn't edited. Am I going crazy? I am not sure when they will be out, but all the ones I have seen in magazines have OSU at #1. Mine had Oklahoma (Athlon). Mine had Mizzou (Cubbies75's College Football Magazine) Holy crap! So did mine. :)

Good point. Anyone know who the free agents are next season? I know that the young guys (Hinrich, Noc, Deng, Gordon) will need extensions soon, but the Bulls should still have enough with Wallace taking a little more than what Chandler was and with Brown off the books.

The hot rumor is Tyson to the Hornets for P.J. Brown and J.R. Smith. Another possibility would be a sign and trade with Atlanta -- Tyson for Harrington. The most recent one I've been hearing is Chandler/Gordon for West/Smith. It's an intriguing deal, needless to say. Where'd you hear that? I dont know what I think about that deal.

I would do that trade as I think that Smith is a player too. I doubt Smith gets much playing time from Skiles unless he works twice as hard on the boards and defensive end. But he'd be an improvement over Piatkowski at the end of the bench. Brown's biggest value is his expiring contract, but he doesn't back down from anyone and is a vocal locker room guy -- a couple of intangibles the Bulls lost last year when they traded Davis. That's a great point about Brown. He's gonna be a very good veteran prescence for this very young team, assuming this trade is gonna go down. Man, Paxson is a wizard. And I agree with your entire post from a page ago, ndistops.

This is definitely a HUGE downgrade for the Bulls. They'll definitely lose more games than they did last year because of this move. That's definitely not what people are saying here, but on some other message boards people are being idiotic about this.

I'm sure Hawk didn't like it that the Cardinals accused the Sox of stealing signs. But he has no problem accusing any other teams. I hope someone pushes him out of his booth.

So the game plan obviously said swing early. And the pitches are right over the middle. Terrible location. But the Cubs are stealing signs, Buerhles not throwing meatballs or anything. Freakin' retards.
