this is all true. and believe me, i altered my expectations when mitchell didnt show up, but its the way theyve been playing this year that has been so frustrating. double digit losses at nebraska and colorado? losing to a horrible oklahoma state team? its been disappointing. as far as the offseason, if he wants to listen, thats his choice, but it is going to hurt his recruiting if recruits know he is going to do that every year. who wants to play for a coach who may not be there in a year? it should be a very interesting offseason for anderson. i hope he gives mizzou a long term commitment.

I could see him leaving. It all depends on if Arkansas really is his dream job. which would be odd, but apparently he wants $3 mil a year, and arkansas donors have been ponying up in case they fire their coach. and obviously he deserves to be paid among the best in college basketball, especially after this super impressive 8-8 big 12 season, a potential 8 seed in the tournament, etc. honestly i cant believe hes not paid among the best already! seriously though, this whole act of him listening to every job offer and demanding more money every year is extremely tiresome, and frankly, damaging to his recruiting classes. otto porter is waiting to commit to mizzou to see if mike anderson will be coaching there! if hes gonna stay at mizzou, anderson needs to make the committment very soon and stop playing these stupid games. its fine to want to get paid more, but to do it every year, even after mediocre seasons? come on.

You generally are way off on your expecations. See the past two years. As are you and your expectations of Illinios. We lose Pullen and Kelly.. That's it. It is a lot, but there will be a LOT of experienced players on this team. Those are the only players on ksu worth a damn. Kstate will suck next year.

Which is also why the five seed may not be bad. Pick up a first round win then get kstate on a neutral court. I like it.

They beat three double digit seeds to reach the Elight 8. They just got lucky. Drew is a terrible coach who uses questionable methods to bring in great talent but thankfully can't do much with it. My fear is Baylor firing Drew and bringing in someone who can actually coach up that talent. eh, but if they fire drew, there's no promises that the next coach will be able to "attract" top talent to waco.

yeah what an awful team. they are undisciplined, stupid, sloppy, lazy, and they play with zero intensity. the whole defense scheming is just horrible and lazy. i really hope mizzou plays them in the big 12 tournament. thats the perfect match up for mizzou, as well as for a lot of other teams. oh, and huge game for both mizzou and kstate saturday. i actually like mizzou's chances, even though they have been garbage on the road most of the year. play like they did last night, and they should have a good chance.

mizzou has gotta be the worst team in the country with the ball at the end of the first half. somehow, they always, ALWAYS turn it over and give the other team a shot. this time, baylor drills a half court shot. UGH learn to dribble matt pressey.

Absolutely horrible, no. Noah's first game back. toronto is now 16-42. yes, worst loss of the season, especially giving up over 55% shooting.

this has played exactly like the game at golden state. bulls get a little lead in the second, golden state closed the gap, got up by 7-9, then extended the lead in the 4th and never looked back. ugh, this would be an awful loss.

The window expanded for them because Rondo ended up better than most were anticipating. In addition, NBA players are more effective as they age in recent times, for some reason. Allen had been declining and then revived somewhat this year. However, general consensus is that Garnett, Allen and Pierce are due for a steep decline very soon. At that point, the team is building around Rondo and probably one of Perkins/Davis, and would be sorely in need of shooters and slashers (similar to the Bulls last year, except Deng is actually doing it this year). i dont see them competing for a top four seed after garnett, allen and pierce all leave with a nucleus of rondo and perkins. playoff team, but not really competing for anything big. obviously though who they replace their big 3 with will determine how good they will be.

hey ssr, what do you think Boston's window is right now? When they made the trades a few years back, i figured they probably had a 3 year window. well, i was wrong. and when looking at them now, i have no idea how much longer theyre gonna be this good. another year or two? thoughts?

when they play like this, theyre better than they were last year or the year they won the national championship. this is ridiculous.
