Does it really matter who they hire anymore? Mizzou has zero recruits for this year, and six seniors next year with no replacements in place. Mike Anderson fucked this program. I hope they make the tourney next year, because it will probably be the last time for a while.

His on-court attitude has undergone a complete 180 since he came into the league. I remember during Game 1 of the Boston series, he had a silent but confident look about him. He was as calm and as cool as possible on a pretty big stage. Now late in games, he has "that look" on his face which is pretty reminiscent of what Kobe does down the stretch. He has a mean side to him and he hasn't been afraid to show it at all. Maybe that talk he had with Kobe before last season helped more than anybody could have thought. I mean look at Rose's quote after the game last night. "The worst thing you can do is give me confidence no matter what I'm doing," Rose said. "If I get any type of confidence, it's going to be hard to stop me." I think he's always had it in him, but he's definitely expressing it outwardly now. I was a little shocked when I saw that quote from him earlier today, but that's just been par for the course this season. I still can't believe how big of a step he has taken this year. yeah i was pretty damn surprised when i saw that quote from rose. thats exactly how he plays though. and i love it.

Is Arkansas really a better job? The SEC is hot garbage and has been for some time. It's not, but apparently a 10% raise and his past there was enough to convince him I guess. The situation sucks, but at least I don't have to worry about Jimmy Sexton's sleaze anymore, and Mike Alden has made very good hires for a decade running. Hopefully the new guy can get some momentum with a senior heavy team next year and then make some headway with his own guys. Keeping Phil Pressey and/or getting Otto Porter would be a nice bonus too. the more im reading, the more intriguing cuonzo martin sounds. hes young and has good connections, especially in st louis. and he comes from a good coaching tree. what have the keady-ites done in the tourney except for the one year that weber had deron williams and luther head? even keady himself never made it that far. you should stay as far away from that tree as possible. well who should mizzou go after? shaka smart is still largely unproven. anthony grant may not be bad, but who knows how soon hell be leaving to go to florida. brad stevens is a pipe dream. the rest are largely meh.

im not upset at all he took the arkansas job. historically, it is a better job. the way he handled this though, is very poor.

what a swell guy mike anderson turned out to be. up until last night and maybe even this morning, people at missouri were convinced he was staying because he was telling them that. he said he was going to sign the extension. gotta love college coaches.
