Who cares about the PR? It's abundantly clear that the vast majority of Bulls fans aren't seriously bothered by this and are fine with whatever Rose decides. My concern is about the Bulls FO actually running the team well. We're not even 11 months into what was always described as an 8-12 month recovery time. I have a lot of nits to pick with the front office but them not forcing Rose's hand (YET) isn't one of them. It was always a possibility he'd miss the whole year. That being said, I do think there is a low-level boil going on in terms of anger from a certain percentage of Bulls fans which will only increase the more time he misses and the more incoherent the messaging gets.

And the handling of this from a PR stand point has been sloppy as hell but nothing so bad that a few exciting games or even plays won't fix once he's back.

The practical difference between the 2 through 7 seeds in the Eastern Conference is basically nothing. As long as he has enough games under his belt to knock the rust off before the playoffs I'm not going to get too worked up.
