    kliff just called a sick game, probably either one of monken or brady will call another one tomorrow and we'll probably want to talk to all of them. although i have no problem making johnson a godfather offer and getting him off the market.

    they'll be fine. defense was already a mash unit coming into the game. to give some kind of equivalence, imagine if the bears defense were coming into a game against a good offense and sweat, dexter, edmunds, edwards, stevenson were already out then as soon as the game starts gordon gets hurt

    this is only marginally relevant because of brady being a raiders minority owner but do any chicago teams have any "cool" people as owners? i think this stuff might matter on the margins for attracting talent.

    Raiders opening up might not be great if ur dead set on vrabel or johnson

    Taylor’s net was 45.5 in December it looks like which would be second in the league for the whole season still wouldn’t be a punt god but that should at least be the standard for next season to avoid clownfraud status

    monken is a sick play caller but a little old for my tastes

    i think the “real” shortlist is probably Johnson, Vrabel, Flores, Cohen, Brady, and Kingsbury and the stuff about Weaver, McCarthy, TB, and Kafka is a ploy to get the their agents to push them to take interviews

    you can talk yourself into this meaning that they're giving a godfather offer to vrabel or johnson

    we locked in at 10? dropping one spot is a nothingburger. the roster needs more than tweaking for sure, but i do think positive vibes alone and hopefully billings/brisker coming back and extending gordon and i'm pretty the defense will play a lot better than they have shown.
