  1. Don't need "post" in that sentence at all. Yep. When he's involved in the offense and gets his hands on the ball he's great.
  2. Boozer has been excellent this postseason.
  3. And yeah, it happens to every team. And every team's fans feel like it only happens to them.
  4. I was thinking out at home on a misjudged WP/PB, but that works.
  5. That's an overly simplistic way of looking at things. If someone thinks being gay is a choice, and thinks being gay is a sin, and believes that God gave humans free will, it's a lot more clear as to why they feel the way Broussard does.
  6. It doesn't need to be said. It's clear as day. It's his teammates that deserve respect. Not Rose. It doesn't need to be said, but just in case, that's about all you've said for 3+ pages of this thread. Because you keep pretending it is inappropriate to say it. I think it's been excessive in this thread, yes. There was probably more talk about Rose during the game last night then there was about the actual game going on. But whatever, if people wanna be that pissed at Rose, that's fine. Whatever. I'm done with the discussion. Oh, the game where multiple players were playing at less than 100%, when the team was extremely shorthanded and without its star player? The star player who's been medically cleared and who said he'd only come back when he's at 110%? Stop acting like the Rose discussion shouldn't be a major component of this series.
  7. Why the [expletive] is Camp coming in for a high leverage situation?
  8. Why are you so worked up over this? Because it only serves to fuel The Kapman on my twitter feed, and I need to follow him for trade scoops.
  9. @Cubs 1m #Cubs lineup vs. @Padres 5/2: Sappelt CF, Ransom 3B, Rizzo 1B, Soriano LF, Castro SS, Castillo C, Hairston RF, Barney 2B, Wood P Dale batting Castro 5th again...
  10. It's a huge part of the reason I hate listening to him. Actually, it's pretty much the entire reason. Not always, just from tahm tuh tahm.
  11. Keith Moreland sounds like a younger Tim McCarver.
  12. If it's a coke ad, you can assume it's going to be the coke branded ad. Those outfield doors look like that more for the fact that it was introducing the concept of ads in Wrigley Field gradually. Eventually those will probably look like the companies want them to look like, as fans loosen up what they will "accept" as far as ads in the stadium. Right, I just prefer a more uniform look and was wondering whether anyone had heard anything about guidelines (if any). Fenway has a few of these that look great (not standard font but they color scheme is consistent).
  13. It's just there to show you where the ads are going to be. That isn't going to be a cursive Wrigley, it's going to sake Coke or Budweiser or United or something. Or Jeff Vuuuuuukooovich. I know it's going to be a placeholder, but will the style of the ad be regulated, (much like a gas station sign in an affluent suburb), or is it no-holds barred? ETA: Another example of a regulated style is how the OF doors look.
  14. Where'd the cursive script come from? Not very "Wrigley"
  15. Steve Kerr has now come out and said that Rose "owes it to his teammates to play" if there's no risk of further injury.
  16. The Sosa HR is my favorite -- and it's an oft-forgotten one since we ended up losing the game.
  17. Valbuena, Ransom, Gregg... Could we have some... pixie dust among us?
  18. I had all of those 03 playoff games on DVR and I deleted them in disgust a few days after the NLCS. I really wish I hadn't. I have almost no evidence left that Mark Prior happened. I just found this on MLB.com's YouTube page...the full game 7 from '03. No Prior but we can relive Wood's HR and pretend it was a walkoff. Why the [expletive] am I watching this??! Seriously, why the [expletive] did I [expletive] click on that? We were going to the [expletive] WORLD SERIES
