  1. That was awesome, he wanted to go to 3rd so bad.
  2. Those Geico "Let me by myself" commercials are hilarious. The bowling one is the best.
  3. Why??? Can't we come up with a better bat in this situation Lou?
  4. Or the changes just aren't working. Sure doesn't look like he has changed anything in his approach or his mechanics. He still has no plate discipline and tries to pull every single pitch no matter how far outside. I think its one of those cases where a guy has had some monster numbers in the past and just figures it will turn around eventually. I think a lot of guys convince themselves that if they change anything significant they may never get out of the funk, and then use a small hot streak to convince themselves they don't need to change anything.
  5. Wow, can't get the big hit. That almost never happens to us...
  6. Weaver is leaving a lot up in the zone, whenever I think of him everything is usually down. Great at bat Soriano, he tries to pull every freakin pitch and its ridiculous to watch him continue to look absolutely terrible.
  7. Fukudome continues to look good, he has really impressed me with the turnaround from last year. Looks like a different player. And whats up with Baker????? He was raking in Denver and now keeping it going.
  8. Horrible series, but did get hooked up on some amazing seats for Sunday's game. http://img188.imageshack.us/img188/2179/lou2y.jpg http://img17.imageshack.us/img17/7343/lou3t.jpg http://imgcash5.imageshack.us/Himg134/scaled.php?server=134&filename=lou4.jpg&xsize=640&ysize=480 Clearly, Lou did not like that call at second base. http://img195.imageshack.us/img195/6672/geow.jpg Obligatory GEO sighting. http://img11.imageshack.us/img11/1158/bradley2.jpg Milton had a great series. 9. Well, unfortunately you did not miss very much tonight...
  10. Check out the Wynkoop just a mile away from the stadium for fun atmosphere and very good eats/drinks. Coors is a nice place to catch a game and Denver is a great downtown. If you can you should extend your stay and head out to Boulder and the Flatirons just a little to the West (or if you can extend it a lot head out to Rocky Mountain National Park and do some hiking and camping!) ;)
  11. Best part of the article: Nothing creates a great clubhouse like whining to the press but refusing to go and talk about it with your manager.
  12. Yes, I am watching a replay of the broadcast and the announcers did bring it up. No info really, just speculating that comments from the Padres side indicates it could be on again.
  13. He has been struggling at the plate in the WBC, and did not look very good in CF tonight on a couple of different balls.
  14. Well, at least this topic has its own thread now rather than taking over every other thread on the board. Maybe the other threads will actually stay on topic now?
  15. I haven't been following real closely. Was this the largest offer, or did he spurn someone else (Nats, Orioles) to go to NY?
  16. On a related note, are there any other options for watching the games live online? I thought I would do MLB.TV but it appears you can only do the Gameday Audio live (which sucks, last year I was in the UK watching the games live online through MLB.TV and it worked pretty well but I guess thats only an option for international viewers). There is no way I could wait 45 minutes after the game is over to watch on MLB.TV, thats basically worthless.
