    I know, right? Hendry would have got Joe Blanton and Johnny Gomes and only given up 3 of our top 10 prospects. I still curse Brendan Harris and Ray Sadler's names. you make a good point, Hendry really never traded any good prospects at the trade deadline changing subjects, who do you guys think will win AL MVP this year

    for the Cubs he was basically an injury-prone Starlin Castro, then he bounced around as the cagey vet serving in mostly a bench role for various teams for the next decade i don't see the big deal with it

That would open up 2B for Javy. i never do these but re-sign fowler sign price trade hendricks and castro for ross what say you guys? i'm getting tired of beating this drum, but with our transparent, dogmatic approach to prioritizing controlling the strike zone, it's simply unfathomable we'd ever trade Hendricks+ for the league leader in issuing walks

    IIRC, they said 375 on the telecast, which would make more sense. The wind was blowing out like what 19 mph? lets be honest. the homer today was great. the energy is amazing with this team. im big on energy, the kind that you cant see but you can feel. but the wind has helped alot lately which was not the case earlier in the season.. if you look at the espn stat again they somehow took wind into account as a factor. it doesn't matter today because the cubs won. that same hit in many parks was a flyout.

    Aaron Hill stretching that out and coming well short of 1B was pretty outstanding

    high bouncer landing between Lester & Ross, tough play, but more athletic SPs like Lohse & Greinke probably make it i think meatball rage stemmed mostly from Lester standing there motionless
