  1. his recruiting class also featured Fields, Lawrence, Zach Wilson, Trey Lance..
  2. the Corey Patterson hype realized actually gets pretty close; stylistically,Victorino & Ellsbury work pretty well from recent memory i had seen it mentioned somewhere that he applied a swing change around 7/27 last year and that gives even more optimism he can sustain elite value over a bigger sample
  3. Triantos is a far worse fielder than Workman, and he's off to a terrible start hitting
  4. i think they missed the boat on this, the time to do this was last spring despite his struggles as a show of faith for his ability (also, why aren't they doing this for Shaw as we speak?) you don't wait til he's peaking as top-10 WAR in the early going to start conversations, agents are going to probably laugh in your face
  5. macedonian scammer emails are easier to parse than whatever it is you've tried to say here
  6. bench drop: Encarnacion-Strand bench add: Uncle Ben's Rice (NYY)
  7. Mauricio Dubon said Smith can hit 60 bombs! i just hate that trade so, so much *given that* we're signalling loudly & clearly that we never really plan to swim in the deep end of FA, so we fans can safely expect Tucker to walk and that we'll not seriously pursue Vlad types with any type of realistic intent Tucker will be a nice 5 win player for a year for a 83 win team and we smoothed over Houston's rebuild for the privilege of that
  8. what had looked like a nice quality win for Michigan might ultimately be effectively wiped out by Mick Cronin's ongoing series of public meltdowns sending UCLA into freefall
  9. wondering who'll be available for the Lions at #32 😏 ironically i like Jack Sawyer as a fit
  10. it's pretty funny to think that an American could possibly ever retreat to a lefty ideological bubble, we're propagandized so effectively and comprehensively you'd have to take some really extreme measures to avoid encountering conservative/corporate framing of most any issue i think the biggest difference really is just that this particular site doesn't give special precedence to the $8 anti-social freaks who want to follow people around shouting incendiary taunts
  11. that's comfortably a bottom-3 roster talent-wise, i don't know that it's fair to suggest Pierce is a cautionary tale due to W-L results
  12. or Arthur Smith
  13. it's hilarious that there are Jed Hoyer stans please sir, may i have another 83 win season?
  14. Michigan's receivers totaled 35 yards on 8 targets yesterday the Moore era probably hinges on finding a proper OC this winter, i think
  15. looking like Daniels might well be the next Lamar that we were promised
  16. if he's viewed as being a salary dump then Robert is a near perfect trade target for us the correct answer for addressing a need for an impact bat has always been to sign, or trade for proven studs like Harper/Seager/Correa/Soto/Vlad but given we're disinterested in that course of action we probably have to keep praying on Cody Bellinger grade buy-low reclamation bouncebacks which Robert is a pretty good candidate to be and if Bellinger opts in push Busch to 2B and bid farewell to Nico, possibly fixing C in the process
  17. during the winter transfer window (12/4/2023 - 1/2/2024) U-M coaches were likely preoccupied with Playoff prep and McCarthy never gave any good indication at all what his plans were, and probably himself didn't even know at that time by the spring window there weren't any good QBs left there was a program failure to plan ahead for this moment during years prior, and it might just be as simple as: it's exceedingly difficult to sell an impact QB on waiting potentially 2 years as a pure backup for a coach that might be gone by then in a system that doesn't even like passing the ball vertically WR recruiting and retention was just as big a failure; despite all the program successes, it's not a real good school to sign up for to play wideout, specifically given the relative disinterest to incorporate them strongly into the gameplan.. these are Nico Collins' stats just for example: Sherrone will have to change the offensive identity in some ways at some point, to make life easier on himself going forward
  18. Moises 0/6 on CS and a PB, sad to see it
  19. you're permitted an early exit if you throw 100 pitches, so Assad could still throw his customary 3-1/3 IP of sweaty 1-run ball
  20. me trying to grow as a person– singing along to Shania Twain: "let's go, Women..♫♪♫" singing along to Thin Lizzy: "♫ the Men are back in town.. ♫"
  21. i think i selected 24-32 ages and yeah i only ever made the comparison on a purely offensive basis but i really don't think Keith Law has him consistently around top-25 prospect in the game on the dreams he can be a weak-side platoon OF
