    Rookie pitchers usually do poorly their first couple of years....I am not worried about Hill yet.

    why can't this team ever pull out wins like that against good teams.... coughNeifihitagrandslamcough that was one case, the good teams seem to win like that all the time... There's perception.... and then there's reality. True, it always seems that the good teams find a way to rally back from 2-0 in the 9th while the cubs just do the job and lose.

    Davey is abrasive and tends to rub people the wrong way most of the time. He is very stuck in his ways. That being said, I would rather have Bobby V. He is an ass but gets results. I don't have to like the manager, he just needs to win.

    It is a great assumption that any decent catcher will make a great manager....

    one example of why you don't get rid of Wood....Curt Schilling. He went through similar injuries for about three years with the phillies in the mid-90's. Everyone thought he would wash out as well....

    Gonzalez would be ideal but he is going to be in big command this offseason...

    I think it depends on what happens with Hill, Williams, and Mitre to what they do with Kerry. If all three pitch well, I think they may shut him down.

    the only problem with Winn/encarnacion is that they are not that much of a upgrade then what is already in LF. I would rather sit on what they have then make a trade for trades sake...

    does anyone remember Schilling going through similar problems in the early to mid 90's? There were a couple of years were he had similar shoulder issues.....you don't trade Wood just to trade him. edit, it was- 1995 Philadelphia NL 17 17 7 5 0 1 0 116.0 96 52 46 12 26 114 3.57 1994 Philadelphia NL 13 13 2 8 0 1 0 82.0 87 42 41 10 28 58 4.48 needless to say people thought he was cooked then.

    Its been brought up before. But seriously, defense in left is not that HUGE of a deal. They get like five chances a game. And when you can produce offensivley like he does. Wow. I couldnt care less. Yeah, people didn't seem to mind how bad Moises was out there last year. Moises wasn't that bad last year....

    My biggest problem with Dunn is his defense....he makes Dubois look like a gold glover out there...

    this is just some filler a writer thought would make a good story. If Dempster was tried out as a Closer last year because of TJS, why would Baker change his mind with SW?

    Jerry played primarily CF for the O's.... Actually it was primarily RF, then CF Jerry Hairston @baseball reference good point....Most the games I saw (I live in DC) he was CF or injured...
