Well, he said Dusty would try to kinda mix in the corner guys depending on the LH/RH matchups...which means Murton will probably just keep playing only against lefties. Thanks, didn't quite catch it all, just heard him mention Matt. Not to be the Devil's advocate, but I don't see Murton getting a lot of AB's with Lawton/CPatt/Burnitz around. I agree even though he should get more playing time, Murton probably won't get more than 1 start a week. -

I wish that Len wouldn't say that claussen was great tonight and just say the truth. The cubs hitters can't hit period.. But, then again Dusty might complain that Len is being to hard on the guys and that there's nothing to worry about man.

Well look at that Murton is on base again. At least someone can take pitches and look like he knows what he's doing up there.

Yeah only 9 pages so far is pretty bad. Everyone is watching the bears, which is probably better anyway.

CUBS are averaging 7.22 runs per game against Cincinnati !! I wish the cubs could score 7 runs this game. But, with that kind of plate approach again it's not gonna happen.

Well 4 runs already for the Reds. Can the cubs score more than 4 this game? they should but the way their going it's probably not gonna happen.

Would have been nice to get a run there. But, at least they took some pitches that inning.

Wow there is a Murton sighting besides a pinch hit that really doesn't matter. Even if he doesn't get a hit tonight, I don't care needs to play tomorrow and so on.

Yeah Willamson has looked good so far. Got to take something positive out of this mess.

Yeah, even when the Cubs had no talent and lost 90+, I would watch every minute of televised Cubs baseball I could. Why, I don't know. I guess I just love the team too much for my own good. I think that's mine and most peoples problem on here. We do love the cubs to much to turn away. When they had no talent and lost 90+, it wasn't as painful to watch. Because of the expectations on how this team should be playing.

Man this is just painful to watch. Getting swept by the Mets is just plain horrible. I need to stop watching, but can't. It's kind of like a wreck on the road that you really shouldn't stare at, but you can't look away. Or you know your not suppose to stare directly at the sun, but you still do.

Maybe carlos did hurt his back and didn't handle the situation very well, but there are a lot bigger problems then that. Case in point 2/3 of our outfield are not major league starters.

It did look a little odd when carlos left. But, if carlos took himself out that's fine with me. Already thrown over 80 pitches, no point of him going out there again.
