  1. I don't think it's Scientific poll or anything nor does it prove we are the “greatest baseball fans” but I think it does show a general attitude players have about st. louis and why they want to play there. Hence, I think we get an above avg amount of "friendly" contracts.
  2. I understand what you are saying but have you ever noticed how players sign discounts and waive no-trade clauses just to play in st louis? I love the short memories. Seems to me in the early spring Pujols was getting ripped by fans and media in St. Louis for proclaiming, "No hometown discount". But he did give them a discount. You beat me to it. Besides I'm not saying every player does... just a lot of them.

  4. I honestly see him as a Cardinal next year. I think Jocketty has accepted the benefits of statistical analysis in a way that we could only dream of as Cubs fans.
  5. You live in Chicago. You see all the White Sox crap ad nauseum on the news for about 10-15 minutes every evening. It will only get worse if they win it all. I'm refering to Cubs fans rooting for the Cardinal over the Astros.
  6. I'm shocked and appalled you guys don't hate the Cards more. We are your main rivals! You Cub fans who are rooting for the Cards should be ashamed of yourselves. What's this world coming to?
  7. Andy got to celebrate his pennant after Game 4, and after Berkman's home run last night. I don't feel sorry for any of them. Did you see the Cardinals' reaction after the game last night? No celebrating. They simply shook hands and headed for the clubhouse. They know that they still have work to do, unlike the Astros after Game 4. That's why the Cards are the best team in baseball. I don't think the best team has yet been decided. At least not for this year. The Cards were the best team in the league this year. The playoffs decides who gets the championship, but it doesn't change the fact that STL was dominant for the regular season. Agreed. The champions aren't always the best team in baseball that year. Sports would be boring if the best team always won.
  8. But Pujols does that after every single homerun, what does the playoffs have to do with it? I think the whole "homerun watching makes you a turd" thing is completely overrated. The only way I would have a problem is if the batter makes gestures to the opposing team.
  9. I don't have a problem with Berkman's or AP's home run trots. It is afterall the freakin' playoffs and both home runs were huge.
  10. Don't go and then give the ticket to me
  11. All that with 2 outs... wow just wow.
  12. come on edmonds... god please
  13. Not as much as I am, I'll bet. The two teams I hate the most are going to meet in the WS. I'd take that bet
  14. Big question of the night - How will the Mark Grudzielanek era of Cardinal baseball be remembered?
