No, they still wouldn't. They're not going to give away a guy who was their #4 prospect coming into the year for a guy who is average at best. Plus the Marlins aren't going anywhere this year, and probably next year either. If they are getting Jones for 500,000 or less then that should be the price of doing buisness. Especially if we are also sending them a PTBNL.

Any idea what West's injury is? He hasn't pitched all season long. Arthroscopic shoulder surgery, he's out for the season. I know he's not the guy you're getting either, same goes with Taylor. Btw, not sure if this has been posted but the said on 1000 that the deal is still pending because Bud has to sign off on it due to the fact a mil. plus is changing hands. Yeah, no way the Marlins would part with West for Jacque Jones. If the Cubs pay most of his salary then yes they should.

From the Marlins board earlier in the thread. Joe Capozzi sheds a little more info in the PBP MIAMI GARDENS — Are the Marlins close to finding a new center fielder? Rumors in Chicago and Florida have the Cubs sending Jacque Jones to the Marlins along with a player to be named and $1 million cash in exchange for a pitcher from Class A Greensboro. Sources at Dolphin Stadium today said the deal was done, but sources in Chicago said it was still in the works. Jones, 31, is owed another $7.12 million over the next two seasons. A left-handed hitter, Jones has played all three outfield positions during a nine-year big-league career that began with the Twins. It is unclear who the minor-league player will be, but left-hander Graham Taylor is a possible candidate.

Did the folks in the front office say it was done or agreed. With big chunks of cash it makes a difference.

XM just had another around the Major update and said nothing.

The only reason it's a rumor is because I don't have confirmation besides myself. It's a done deal though. Did your sources say done deal or did they say it had been agreed on? Money may be the delay here if the later is the case.

Meds will react differently with people than they should some times. That is why there is that small map sized piece of paper of warnings with every bottle of meds. A friends wife has migranes, and nuts are her trigger. Although my friend and their two sons cant help much either. :wink:

Actually when some one places an "Uhhhh" in the conversation it is a cue that they are thinking about the answer they are giving. It usually means in the middle school environment that they are trying to come up with a better lie. :wink:
