Klinsmann is completely stupid when it comes to the player pool. Completely. We still have 5 CMs in the damn game. Who would you throw out there instead? Looking over the 18 I don't see any glaring omissions, save for maybe Shea(although is he really going to give more width than Torres?) My worry is that Torres and Zusi, both CMs, really, will drift inside and create a narrow wreck.

It's a big ask. Risking getting hit on the counter. I'd feel better with Shea out there so one of those guys can stay home. I guess its defensible to have him as a 2nd half sub, though.

You seemed fine with the team wolf posted on Sunday. Two changes were no Bocanegra or Cherundolo, but they were injured, and the others were Edu and Gomez in for Torres and Shea. Because Beckerman and Edu are completely redundant, since one is bad and the other is slightly worse. Shea can provide width, which would absolutely be needed if your game plan is to keep shape and hit them on the break, and Torres can at least be a deep lying playmaker. Playing Jones, Edu and Beckerman together is just asking for there to be absolutely no service to the attackers, and asking to be dominated in possession.

[expletive] Comcast. And [expletive] BeIN Sports. They only put the Spanish language version on in Chicago, and then were supposed to show the game on tape delay at 10:45. So my dumbass, instead of finding a stream, trusted that it would work. Turned it on...just in time to see Inez Whatever at BeIn showing highlights of the loss. FFFFF EDIT: I don't even need to see the game to know that a midfield of Jones, Beckerman (effing KYLE BECKERMAN starting a critical pre-hex game!!!) and Maurice Edu (Who is, and has pretty much always been [expletive]) wasn't going to get it done. We don't win on Tuesday, Juergen gets fired (deservedly) and we probably don't qualify. Great.
