    his star player was beside himself with pain and grief (and, probably fear) over destroying his knee and/or career, and he was trying to calm him down. I think it was a nice move, as several coaches would just stand on the sideline with their arms crossed I know what his intentions were. He took it to a new level of creepy.

    I thought it was a pretty classy move when he dropped his bat and ran over, but when I realized it was his mom I had to laugh. I really do hope she's OK, but that's pretty damn funny.

    Right, but I think the number of fans who won't spend the night in Indy is a lot higher than say if a UConn or someone made it. I don't know, was just thinking and editorializing out loud. And I'm obviously generalizing based on previous interactions with their fans over the years. I think most would probably stay at hotels if the games were in Detroit.

    East Lansing is still about 4-5 hours from there. I find it hard to believe their fans are going to be driving 9 hours to see 2-4 hours of basketball without staying.

    Interesting. I hadn't seen that he didn't visit. I'd still put them ahead of UT.

    Is Marc Maggard a credible source? He seems to think if Iowa offers Forbes that Iowa would immediately move toward the top of Selby's favorites and that Negedu would look to find a home there as well as he believes UT will not clear him to play.
