  4. I'm not sure he deserves the capital j.
  5. I laughed, but it wasn't with him.
  6. I want to be friends with your friend. I could use some extra cash.
  7. It seems to me Vitters is the obvious for the 40 choice barring a Villanueva DFA or trade.
  8. I still think it's Soler, and I REALLY like Bryant.
  9. Wait, then who the hell is Underwood?
  10. Mods, change his title to "Kyle Jr.."
  11. He would have to clear waivers to be outrighted to the minors.
  12. I have now watched 4 Javi games (2 live, 2 on TV), and he has homered in all 4. You guys should pay me to watch every game he ever plays.
  13. Here are their options: 1) MLB team claims him on waivers - Either the Marlins let them have him, work out a trade with that team for him, or pull him back and he can't be waived again. 2) He clears waivers - Marlins can work out a trade with any team for him, send him to the minors, or release him. Ok. That's what I thought. But, from the part that I bolded, that means that he would have to stay on the 25-man roster, since he has no options left. Which, it seems like they don't want him on the 25-man. Right, but it's August. Teams will occasionally put the whole team on waivers just to see if nobody notices and they slip through. Most get pulled back right away with little to no fanfare, and players nobody care about will get traded afterwards. Someone put out the Jacob Turner signal, though, and I can't imagine him slipping through. Yeah, but he wasn't placed on waivers... he was DFA'd.... meaning they have to either trade him or lose him for nothing, assuming he doesn't make it through waivers, which he won't. Basically, they picked a terrible time to do this. They still have the option to add him back to the roster which, as incredibly unlikely as it may be, is still possible if someone realizes how stupid of a decision the DFA was.
  14. For the bunt part or the stupid "Al Contra" part?
