He didn't miss significant time in either 2015 or 2016, it's not like he's never been able to stay healthy for a whole season. There's no reason to expect he's going to miss 6 weeks every season for the next few years unless you think he's just chronically broken now at age 24. this might come off at nitpicking but didn't russell pull a hamstring or have leg issues before the 2015 NLCS and was left off the roster? yep. it was the beginning of the end for his health

if posters jumped on you for suggesting these trades, it must have been for your suggested returns Actually I don't think there were any suggested returns. It was a discussion about trading off our ML roster because the ml are pretty bare and posters were suggesting Happ and/or Almora and I posted that Russell and Schwarber ould be included because their "names" might get us a better return and we could have in house replacements. wait, are you seriously suggesting that major league assets should be traded because minor league depth isn’t as strong as it was when those major league guys were in the minors?

that Bob Gibson stuff needs to die. here’s a list of pitchers who hit more guys: Jamie Moyer, Chan Ho Park, Frank Tanana, Kenny Rogers, Orel Hershiser, Darryl Kile, Bronson Arroyo. a real murderers row there. there are 5 guys this season alone who hit more batters than Gibson hit in any one season
