  1. If anyone is interested, there were some technical difficulties with the MLB.TV feed and they switch from the Reds call on FSN to WGN.
  2. A triple, double, and walk for the Cubs
  3. I hope the Cubs can get out to an early lead in the first inning. Let Harang feel pressure all afternoon.
  4. I'll watch Len and Bob but the radio is nearby. I also have on the opposing team's call (I'm obsessive like that; I like all the angles).
  5. Haha, MLB.TV has no blackout restriction on this game! I can watch it here locally on channel 9 (WGN) but I get to watch the Reds telecast live as well (Extra Innings IS restricted here).
  6. I think MLB is responsible for the screwup. A couple of months ago someone mistakenly had Thome being acquired by the Cubs...
  7. It is a mistake. Theriot is still showing on the active roster (which makes it 26 players). The site needs to be updated.
  8. Shouldn't that be "sho 'nuf?" BTW, yeah, it would be nice...
  9. Maybe it will be rained out. The word earlier was that the rain would fall through 12am.
  10. Jason Michaels is not making me happy thus far...
  11. I read the Tribune, Sun-Times, Daily Southtown, and Daily Herald online everyday. Each paper can provide different angles on the same story as well as feature player articles that can't be found elsewhere.
  12. Don't worry, it was an April Fools joke.
  13. I still love him. He didn't pitch well in that game but without his dominance, for much of 2003, the Cubs wouldn't have gotten to the postseason much less the NLCS.
  14. Yes, he's pitched twice since leaving the game with back discomfort. He is fine.
  15. Me too (and I'm not the crying type)! I was so happy when he hit that homer and soooo depressed later that evening...
  16. It has nothing to do with Koronka. It's that we have six middle infielders on the active roster and something has to give. And it better not be Walker. It was Theriot if not Bynum so the overall 25 man roster mix does not change much. I don't believe there's any need to have another middle infielder in the system, including as backup for the big league team. And Theriot was only going to be on the team until they added another pitcher (most likely when Wood was going to be actived). There wouldn't be a need to carry Bynum, Neifi, and Hairston throughout the season. If nobody else gets moved, this doesn't make much sense to me. Bynum was added to the 40-man on Cubs.com. Does anyone remember Hairston being listed as an outfielder before? Yes, when I looked at the list last week Hairston was listed as an OF.
  17. Aardsma isn't ptching poorly. The error by Coats helped to tie this game. Nice run down...
