  1. Crede is showing some FIRE! and INTENSITY! That's why he's the MVP of the AL right now. Neifi forced his hand off the bag, btw.
  2. Simmer down, people. 4 runs will not win this game today.
  3. Glass half full. Shouldn't Ozzie be calling for a sac bunt here, you know, to maximize chances of scoring a run?
  4. I think we should pitch out at least four times this at bat.
  5. Hahaha, that makes no sense. Neither does sliding into first.
  6. What did he do? Sacrifice himself for our sins? Not really. He was born on another planet and came to earth with limitless baseball ability. But the love of a woman brought him to give up all those powers and live like a mere mortal. Hendry and Dusty know this, and think he's such an honorable man he should be allowed to live the life of a major league player, even if he's not qualified to be one. That's funny. I heard Neifi was born in an uncivilized part of South America and raised by wolves.
  7. Jones < Dye Dye was surprisingly good last year and has kept it up so far this year. It was either him or Burnitz in 05... yes. last year. the past three, the past five, whichever you choose, there isn't a whole lot of difference offensively. my reflection was on my thoughts from February. Burnitz was not in the picture. Oh, I know. I just think it would have been reasonable to expect Dye to be better than Jones this year, too.

  9. Well, we should get the lead back this inning with Cedeno, Blanco, and Perez due up.
  10. Ump is definitely calling the high strike. I'd be mad if I were Thome.
  11. Thus far ump seems to be calling high strike but not the low strike.
  12. It was a line drive. Ramirez jumped so high that it took 2.4 seconds for him to come back to the ground. Seriously, for a slow loafy guy, Ramirez can really jump.
  13. cheapseats, I'm not going to get to watch the game for another 20 minutes or so. Can you tell me.....hows the FIRE! and INTENSITY! look out there today? Walker said something to the umpire during his at-bat. That's INTENSITY!, but that's the Moises Alou-type intensity that we don't want on this team. If Walker had kicked an object in the dugout and broken his foot, that also would have been showing intensity, but that would be Kyle Farnsworth-like intensity, and we don't want that either. I have yet to notice any FIRE! at this point in the game. Hairston, however, has shown he is a GAMER by helping to MANUFACTURE A RUN by PLAYING THE GAME THE RIGHT WAY. SMALL BALL!
  14. Murton sucks. At least Neifi made contact at the end of the game yesterday.
  15. I think Buerhle is jittery because we've been WREAKING HAVOC on the basepaths. WREAKING HAVOC. Havoc, I tell you.
  16. If he bunted it would go 2 feet. It took a full swing to get the ball half way to 3rd. I meant Hairy. I thought for sure he'd be sac bunting. AJ with a Jacque Jones-like throw to first means Hairston and Pierre are at 2nd and 3rd. He did sac-bunt didn't he? These radio guys are brutal. Their monotone jibber jabber is almost impossible to follow. I guess it was a sac bunt. He could have been bunting for a hit.
