  1. With the collection nancy speed demons that Hendry has collected, do you really think they'd do well in a brawl against Jenks/Konerko/Thome/Crede/etc.? Sometimes getting your ass kicked is a good thing. Or wait they are getting there ass kicked right now. nevermind. Eventually, after one of these but whoopings, they are going to get sick of getting their butts kicked and do something about it....... like turn around and get kicked in the groin. Neifi will protect his groin at all costs.
  2. With the collection nancy speed demons that Hendry has collected, do you really think they'd do well in a brawl against Jenks/Konerko/Thome/Crede/etc.? Maybe they should hold footraces. I bet you the Cubs could beat them then. Or maybe a dance off. Neifi would river dance them into the ground. Too bad we traded Dubois. He used to do some pretty pirouettes in left field.
  3. With the collection nancy speed demons that Hendry has collected, do you really think they'd do well in a brawl against Jenks/Konerko/Thome/Crede/etc.? Big Z > Thome + Konerko + Jenks + Crede and Barrett does MMA in the offseason. In a brawl? Cubs win! Cubs win!
  4. Fire isn't what this team needs. Good players is what they need. How about a fire in the clubhouse?
  5. Dude, that's the bad kind of FIRE! and INTENSITY! The good kind is what happens in the clubhouse, when the manager kicks some butt and the team suddenly starts playing better or when the players hold a closed door meeting and decide to stop sucking. You know I actually did that just for you.
  6. Who is an underachiever on the Cubs? Ramirez, I guess? This team just flat sucks. They've not underachieving. They're just bad. "Underachieving" connotes that they should be playing better. They shouldn't. Pierre is really falling short of his projections, although Aramis is far more important than Pierre.

  8. Makes sense to bring him in with Thome at the plate. This way we get that all important lefty-lefty matchup. Rusch owns Thome.
  9. Since the 1st inning or the 1st of May?
  10. How many pitches for Buehrle thus far? About 45.
  11. Yeah, that's all you can do: hit the ball hard, and hope that it finds a gap. Cubs hitters have just been unlucky for the last couple of games.
  12. Now, now. Neifi was actually one of the best fielding shortstops in baseball last year. Nobody's perfect. And, of course, when you figure offense into the equation, Neifi's not even close to perfect. he hasn't looked like the best fielding anything this year. Why should Neifi peform? He tricked the stupid Hendry to give him an inflated 2 year contract. Maybe next year in his contract year we might see Super Neifi again. Yep. Neifi tears it up during his contract years.
  13. If any of them are caught on film leaving the park before the game is over, they're outta here!
  14. We should hope that: a) Maddux continues to pitch well b) Phillies stay close in NL East by all-star break

  16. The Cubs have 27 homeruns. I think Thome and Dye have at least that many.
  17. I'm a Cubs fan, and I don't want Thome to hit homers against us, but I like Jim Thome. Now we should worry, by the way, b/c I think six runs will be enough to win today's game.
  18. go figure...stupid vanover He's been distracted by all the speed on the bases. You know, baserunners WREAKING HAVOC and all.
  19. The strange thing about today is that Vanover doesn't historically have such a tight strike zone. His SO/BB ratios aren't usually very extreme compared to the rest of the umpires in the league.
  20. Dusty does not condone violence. It would embarass his family.
  21. Please explain why you think that the Cobs will score 5 runs against a pretty good pitcher, especially since they cant hit lefties if their lives depended on it. Team speed. With guys like Pierre and Hairston at the top of the order, we can score runs faster than you can blink an eye. GO CUBS! Plus the speed of Cedeno and Perez at the bottom of the lineup. Mark my words, small ball will win this game. GO CUBS! Please tell me you're joking...

  23. 5 runs will not be enough to win the game today. Don't worry about it yet, Cubs fans. GO CUBS!
