  2. Cheers. Do I get any extra points for going to any games? No? Good, because I don't intend to anyway.
  3. I think it'll be Reds/Mets for me.
  4. Whereabouts do I do it?
  5. - I tried to leave that suggested rather than direct.
  6. When Didier Drogba scored for Chelsea at Paris SG, and leapt into the crowd shouting 'Allez l'OM' at them, it was as great a moment as you could wish to see. The Parisians were unamused, amusingly.
  7. I remember someone trying it in the League Two playoff finals (Liam Lawrence). He'd played Huddersfield off the park for 120 minutes and then did that. It would have been his crowning glory if he didn't slip and hit the top of the crossbar, like a tool.
  8. Mexico never had class to begin with Stone the crows, that was some goal from Messi. You can use all the superlatives in your world to describe that one.
  9. Preston North End update - David Nugent's been sold to Portsmouth for £6,000,000, says the news tonight.
  10. http://img512.imageshack.us/img512/8216/glasshoughtonpj7.jpg So, welcome to 2007/08. Glasshoughton Welfare 0-5 Farsley Celtic. Nice weather, good game, and Farsley look set to surprise a few people in the Blue Square Premier. Glasshoughton are in the grey.
  11. He did indeed. On 'Manchester Utd' quirks, I think Preston are the only team Bobby Charlton managed.
  12. Crazy stuff going on. Its 'Silent Night'; that's a 'promotion'. People are there as librarians, tennis players and mimes. Its quite eerie, to be honest.
  13. I realise that now. WELE hadn't gone across yet, though.
  14. Ooh, I'm just in time for the first D-Cubs game. :D
  15. That's what I thought. The data not corresponding with what's on the graphics. I'm no mathematician (I'm zero mathematicians?) but I thought I was understanding it. I was.
  16. Why is there one of Rich Hill's in foul territory? Or am I badly misunderstanding the chart?
  17. Deepdale - their home ground - is home to the English Football Museum. One of the stands there has the face of Sir Tom Finney (who, if I recall correctly, played in the USA 1-0 England game of the 1950 World Cup) picked out in the seats. Ed - Yes, he did.
  18. Upper level Championship team. First 'great' team in English football (won the first ever league title) David Nugent - currently still with Preston - is talked up as the next 'big thing' of English strikers (think Andy Johnson level hype - though they're different sorts of players). Managed by Paul Simpson - ex of Carlisle and Rochdale (both local-ish clubs) Patrick Agyemang scored a wonderful overhead kick for them in a game against Norwich last season.
  19. Scratch Capenhurst vs. Marine, its been moved back a week, so I can't go. More disappoint for my mate, who's had to take the day off work for it. :x
  20. That's pretty neat, are there any more in the works? I'd imagine so, given the awards and such that its won, but I'm not aware of any.
  21. This is.
