I'd have to agree. However, I think Griffey would have toppled 800 if it wasn't for his injuries :\ Griffey joins Mantle as the greatest "should have been" players ever. Hmm...Jimmy Foxx has to be considered, doesn't he? The year Foxx hit 58 homers he had two homers rained out in a game. He carried a newspaper clipping around his whole life showing he had hit 60 in one year.

Hah we cannot get away with that right now. No, but maybe we can do it on something like Tuesday. Aramis should be back, and Ward should be back to be able to fill in at first. That would give Lee 2 straight days off (with the off day on Monday) and could really re-charge him. Sounds like a plan. He definitely needs one. He looks like he has nothing right now. Yeah we really have to wait though. -

Yeah he should, but for some reason he is way more valuable as a hitter when he leads off. His career numbers show this. I don't know why, but they do. Yea I am not refuting that at all... but the fact is he's getting paid 136mil, there really is no reason why his numbers should be better. It's his attitude, he thinks he should leadoff so when he doesn't he stinks. But that's not good for the team so he needs to get over it. The best bet might be to get a legit name leadoff hitter. If we had a guy like Jose Reyes, a name it might be easier for him to handle. I doubt he would like to move for Ryan Theriot. Right or Wrong.
