    Care to elaborate? He's been trading for crap hoping it turns into gold lately. EJ said it dead on with what I meant this kind of garbage gets nobody anywhere. I don't particularly like the trade, but we need honest debate here. Trachsel is not crap. by definition he is average. na..I'd say he is crap And you'd be wrong. He has worse overall numbers than our worst starter Jason Marquis. So what's the point of bringing him on to start? To take one of the talented younger guys out, duh.

    LOL. Not if you read his latest interviews. I would say odds are he won't play for us either. "Jereme is committed to the University of Illinois," Bill Richmond said. "I hear it a lot, and people can say and do what they want to, but Jereme is going to Illinois. He'll be there at Illinois on October 12th for midnight madness." Ok, "All is well, I am 100%committed to Illinois. Goodnight." Eric Gordon Gordon is different though. He's an Indiana kid for one and also he had more voice in where he goes. Jereme doesn't even look like he's had an opiton since his parents love Illinois. I hope you are right. But, I doubt Jereme wears the orange and blue.

I would stop short of saying bad. Illinois is loaded with talent and that will be enough to keep us in most games. "Loaded with talent" and "keep us in games" don't go together. Sure it does, considering the majority of that talent are freshman and sophomores. It's all semantics, but teams that are loaded with talent don't stay in games. They dominate games.     Would you like to place a wager where he ends up? I'm not the betting type but I'm confident he ends up with the Illini. Doesn't Lee lead this team in homers since the ASB? Don't read the Illini board, they don't give you anywhere near the real story. From what I have heard he isn't even going to visit us now.

    Oh please, everyone keeps saying that for Dlee. Yet, guys like Murton and Weeks hit it through the teeth of the wind. Face it his power is gone.

Lots of things can happen in that time period. I am excited that this series is back though, but I would prefer if we traded years at each others home fields. I agree, I wish the basketball series would become competitve. It's unfortunate Bruce can't recruit even though he's a great X's and O's coach. Maybe we can atleast get Darius Miller. Bwhaha I have heard he all but eliminated us. Verdell Jones, maybe.
